Red book is ASW2020. Nope. No Ahli is used to register your ASX account with the online bank that you want to use to topup. Also that is what you need to write when isi borang. Only Cimb and RHB. I haven't do online topup before so cannot confirm but you can always test it out. Keep in mind that each online topup charges you RM1.06 even though you didn't get any unit.

Where did you managed to open? Btw, next target should be try opening ASM and AS1M. Cause if ASW2020 don't have, at least can try luck with the other 2 books.

Precisely. Not worth it for me because of the charge + not guaranteed compare to counter. At least with affin, if I bring RM10k, sure that RM10k will masuk. Just depends on whether I have time to wait at the bank or not. If you keep going (like everyday to try) maybe can build up relationship with the bank (no need for priority banking) and may even be able to leave the book there and come back at 3PM to give them the money if really got units..

I am a cash person. More efficient for me. I don't have any account with affin bank. FDs yes but not account. Money is in maybank. Affin's the best place for me to topup. So no choice but to bring cash to affin.

No la. Best time is lunch time and before bank close. 3+pm like that. Eat lunch fast. If you are going everyday, just bring RM2k like that. If you have 3 books lagi easy. One don't have try the other one. Guaranteed if go everyday, min RM2k sure can go in if you have 3 books. Don't be choosy. Be choosy only when you feel have enough. Cause for ASW2020 particularly, I always try RM250x4 like that at post office. All masuk.

But since found affin bank, I one shot hentam. No need for small amount anymore. Like I said, if you go regularly, the staff will recognize you. Once staff recognize you, it would be easier. Then one day just casually ask boleh tinggalkan buka kat sini tak? Nanti petang I balik bayar cash. Find a bank which you can hentam one shot and nice staff.

Also if you don't want to go everyday, just keep a lookout on this forum. Sometimes got insider info stating 7 figure units for sale. Best time is before major festivals, school holidays, after dividend date. For me, I will choose everyday if it is not out of the way. A little goes a long way or as they say sikit-sikit lama-lama menjadi bukit. Some peoplee here try everyday.

I won't have what I have today in ASX FP if I didn't use my school holiday and go to banks everyday once my FD matured.

Can. But would not recommend it. Why? Withdrawing from another bank's atm will incur charges which makes you won't get 100% of your principal.
One method I suggested is leave the buku there if really got unit and tell the staff you want to go withdraw money. "Tunggu sebentar, I pergi bank X ambil duit dulu. Tolong jagakan buku I" Come on la Terengganu is not as dangerous as KL/KV.

Been there. Done that. Happen when one shot exceed my cash reserves.

If you are uncomfortable carrying large amount of cash, find a bank which you know you can topup, open BSA there. Auntie twinkle used to carry cash too. Until she found affin bank. Open account with affin bank and contra from there. Only sad thing about that is your money is not earning anything in normal SA.

BSA = basic savings account

They will ask you how are you paying? Cash/contra (minus from account). Tell them contra. Give them your atm card/bank book + IC + account withdrawal form.

Like I said before this. Official answer is quota is full. Wait for next annoucement of new fund. Quota full because easier to say quota full then try to open account. Opening account is the hard one. After opening account then topping up is easy.

When bank check for units, they are checking whole malaysia. Only asnb can see in real time how many units are there. Banks will key in what you want. If say you want rm10k but only 9500 units available, you won't get it.

You meant asnb branch. HQ is in KL. Why? Simple. Out of the way. Like for me, it's located in shah alam and I am in klang. If I am not mistaken, they have limited branches per state. Refer to their location and you get the idea.

Having lots of branch is a waste of resources when you have agents WHICH IS suppose to do stuff on your behalf.

My original place that I topup is maybank and cimb bukit tinggi, post office in klang town near bus station.
I never go to asnb before. All my topup is at the place mentioned above.

Success rate is not certain. It all depends on availability of units. Like nexona said higher chance before holidays, major festival, after dividend date.

Read the last 5 pages + first page and you are good to go.

OPT you better hurry and topup. All FD people slowly invading ASNB thread liao.

If you use EPF, you cannot withdraw. Keep in mind.

Don't know. Never have a EPF account. But according to sifus here, each amanah saham have it's own allocation of units if you are investing via EPF which means as long as the allocation is not full yet, you are guaranteed to get the units IF you use EPF.

Like I said, haven't really tried it as I have no EPF account.

Interest is lucrative? It's fixed at 6.x% for non bumi and 7.x% for bumis. I think just beat your everyday inflation rates.
Catch = waste petrol, come to the bank/post office and not guaranteed units, need to wait few hours to catch few units, give money to govt to invest.

IBFT = instant transfer money from another bank to affin bank.
Recommend you try RM10k like that. If got, then pump more.

IBFT is method of transfer money la. You have the cheap and slow IBG(Rm0.11), the instant and pricey IBFT (RM0.53)
Once money in savings account, you can just contra.

No need wait for GIA matured. Go try at bank where you have SA. Eg RM10k dapat. Uplift Rm10k from eGIA > Maybank SA > IBFT > Bank ABC which you have SA > tell the worker nak contra

My one counter ask how are you going to do payment after getting it. After all they can reverse the transection no no problem for them if we don't have cash.

Once printed inside the book/form, it's yours unless you didn't pay by 3PM then the cworker can reverse it.
