Someone looking for slightly more discount from Omega? PM me, only if you are firm to purchase; maybe I can help. Please -- do not waste my time with price checks, need to consider, time to think about it, etc. Only PM me if you have already decided and you are trying to get the best price, and I may try to help.

Anyway, coming to a week on the wrist now:

Same here. I can help if there's a firm purchase intention and you are price hunting.

Did you check out the SNR045? The dial looks bit more captivating than the SLA.

#speedytuesday is a favourite of mine, because it means I don't have to think which piece deserves wrist time for the day lol

First saw this combo on WUS by Dixan from way back. I tried but unfortunately I don't think I'm stylish enough to pull it off!

The key is realising you will never be cool and the kids these days anyway so just wear whatever makes you happy haha....

Omega? Probably Seamaster Diver 300 on rubber or the standard Speedmaster Pro. There are also a variety of Tudors you can look at.

Used, you could probably consider a 39mm Explorer 1 or 5 digit Explorer 2.

I thought the E2 is already above 25k?

why all the brands also want to play this game liao ehhhh
*
You'll be surprised that the Omega LE somehow commands a premium, even though there's like a gazillion of them LE every year.

brother gave his omega seamaster midsize (quartz) to me, but the battery is dead for quite some time.  yeay my first luxury watch biggrin.gif

can i replace the battery at any shop? i read Steven Watch Fixology is pretty good, so might go there, or if you guys have any recommendation (pj/shah alam area)?

also do i need to service the watch first, or can simply replace the battery? i saw omega price for service, can't afford it though
*
Send it to Omega, they can assess if its just a battery change, or if there's anything more.

Mine last time had a leak. The AD just helped me change the battery but it died again a few days, then they helped me send to Omega and I had to do a proper service.

I think there are some protective stickers around, but I do think it's bit silly. You can ask around for those wraps.

That’s because Lolex is fully in-house even for entry level cheap ass models while IWC lower range are ETA based movements but they charge Rolex prices.
*
Plus you walk out of showroom with lolex and sell immediately, more or less still can get back seed money or more.

you do the same with IWC, you will be lucky if its only a 10% depreciation.

Do you think can get a chance if I go via AD rather than OB? Trying to build up spending relationship with AD hehe...

But if cannot then I will go to OB as I really want it lol... the 'animated' caseback sold me. Never seen anything like it.
*
Given this is not a LE, shouldn't be too hard to get. Buying from an AD means you can build a relationship which can help you to secure other pieces next time.

No idea. I have the impression this will be boutique only, but I could be wrong. If your AD tells you they are getting it, then you should go and try to "build relationship" with AD. Personally, I feel confident about getting an allocation for one, but since this is not really my cup of tea, I will be passing. I am not keen to "help" and risk my name and reputation if someone were to change their mind, and/or who ends up flipping it for profit. I think its great for the enthusiast, but I do not wish to help someone who's out to make a quick buck.
*
Aye, I'm on the same boat. As much as I like it, I'm not really looking to pay 40k on this. So that only leaves getting it just to flip, which is not my thing.

Perhaps the gilt/gold of the OG comes across as....dainty maybe?

I'm debating whether should get the BB58 or not. Seems nice n all but can't help but feel its over hyped. I suppose one good thing is that resale won't take such a bad hit since its reasonably in demand
*
It's a "better" wear than a Sub for me, partly due to the size to wrist ratio.

And like you say, the resale is still at 16k or so where I see, so can still turn a profit.

Haha, so you also got the same thing.

The moon candle is probably my favourite thing in it.
