If service & infra is my Maxis, the service will be acceptable.
If service from Maxis and sharing infra with TM (Maxis Fiber) the service sux balls.

Yeah I heard lotsa complain from Maxis Fiber user, not the DSL 2Mbps, weird lulz.

So meaning Maxis DSL 2Mbps is using Maxis infra itself right?

Yea btw is it true that it is Unlimited quota or still got behind marketing gimmick as since the price is far more cheaper than Streamyx

2mb DSL only available for houses where Maxis monopoly the landlines.
other areas if you want maxis you got to get MaxisFiber which use TM FIber ...
So ppl say ... TM play with the bandwidth ...

Also from experience it always takes more than 2 days for maxis to fix problems on TM Fiber ...
1 day to complain to maxis tech, 2nd day need make appointment with TM tech ..

waste of time ... just stick to TM ... or if you can get TIME ... even better

most of the time good i'd say. cant expect it to be on par with fiber ones though

my rating for the quality: unifi > maxis fiber > maxis wired > streamyx > others

prob is my hse no coverage for even maxis fiber, only maxis dsl 2mbps

I'm thinking of upgrading from my current 1mpbs to 2mpbs. Is it worth the upgrade? I keep getting high ping after using the internet for about 30mins. Keep having to restart and sometimes even after restart the ping will still be high and the speed will drop to about 0.30mpbs - 0.50mbps. =(

I applied last two Saturdays ago in Maxis Gardens, my location is in Semenyih and it's been 1+ week and no news at all, anyone I can call to?

Happen to me, what I did is I call Maxis Centre, tell them u are going to overseas for 1-2 months, so u need that ASAP, end up immediately the call centre give me the technician number to do appointment on the same day.

Anyhow I already subscribe the package, and enjoying it so far. Roughly speed was 1.80Mbps with <20ms during peak hours (8PM onwards), not yet try during weekend

Dear maxis wired broadband users,

I am using this service 2mb (free upgrade after complaining frequently due to bad connection) for more than 1 year now. All i can say is, i am very dissapointed with maxis. Called them to ask about status for fibre internet, but to no avail.

Now, im thinking to make a petition to ask maxis to pull out their service for wired broadband and let tm handle this. And let us choose whatever option provided by IP (unifi/ astro maxis fibre internet/ p1 fibre/time).

What do you u guys think?

Yes, count me in ! My area is at Bdr Puchong Jaya. Fully covered only by Maxis.

When I ask Maxis they replied
"Sorry, your area is not under covered, and we don't know when, because Maxis is also depend on TM."

And TM told me
"Sorry, your area is under Maxis, please contact them."

WTF !? This is like a GREY AREA, both parties do not want to take action. 2014 and we only have maximum 2mb?! WTF

My old house just next street 1 min walking distance that have unify ages ago because link from behind the shop lots there. Unifi is best. If Maxis reluctant to do anything, so why tendered this area for f***ing 30 years !? f*** off !

Please count me in, I am freaking pissed to always disconnect everyday when it rains, and slow connection speed.

*Pls don't ask me using wireless broadband, got such a fabulous experience with P1 last time I already told myself, never, NEVER ever try wireless broadband anymore.

I got same problem as you. Bandar Wawasan. People keep saying it's Maxis area. But when I ask maxis center they said the address is TM area. When I asked TM they said it's Maxis area. I asked every maxis shop in Giant Kinrara, IOI they all say no servis.

Until last week I saw Maxis people doing connection in my apartment area. I asked them and the fella said this is Maxis wired area since long ago. Only no fibre. Can get max speed sired 2mbps only.

He said to go to Sunway Pyramid for registration cos they process faster. Don't bother with IOI or Giant cos they are lazy. Will go later this month.

Guys do you all still using the adsl model given by maxis or you switch to a better model router?

Which part of pusat bandar puchong you guys from? Im living at kenanga apartment and am currently using maxis wireless broadband which totally sucks but fiber optimization works are currently being done here so probably in a few months i can subscribe the home fiber internet, at least i hope so lol

Updates.

Since Jun2015, I upgraded my Maxis wired from 2Mbps to 8MBps download 1Mbps upload. RM128 per month (not yet plus GST).

I stay in Tempua area, Puchong.

In case interested, you can apply for it at the Sunway Pyramid Maxis Centre.

However, ping time with US servers are pretty dismal (~240+ ms)

Stable enough. 8.3Mbps download and 0.6Mbps upload speedtest.org with local KL servers.

No active promo from Maxis though. Even some agents at Maxis may not know until you ask them to check availability.

I needed to go twice to Maxis centre to get it done eventually.
