The Android box also using wired connection. So total 7 connections to the TS-8-Pro.

For CCTV and android box using existing cat5e cables but for study room and AC Lite x 3 using cat6.

Can such a setup support Hypp TV?

I plan to house the ERX and TS-8-Pro in the DB closet as that is the location the Unifi fiber terminates and also all the existing cat5e cabling. Does the ERX and TS-8-Pro need aircon? hopefully not  blush.gif

What is the range of the AC Lite in normal malaysian concrete and brick house? I plan to install them in front of stairwell to maximize clear distances to users/clients.

Can you provide a quote to supply and install including setup? I will run the cables myself. Would also need somesort of rack that can house the fiber modem, ERX and TS-Pro  tongue.gif

cat6 only for outdoor. why you need use outdoor cable for indoor device. laugh.gif too rich? brows.gif

yes, can setup hypp tv.. u using tm right. since tm using vlan tagging, i think it will works.. never try personally using hyppTv. i might request for decoder for hypptv from tm to try it out.. only hypptv i cant guarantee but for others, yes. no issue. even using OHANA ISP as well... running quad load balancing with no issue... with 3 different ISP.

AC lite is 25% smaller than the standard UniFi AP with range 122m (400 ft). but of course, concrete and brick house is the real obstacle. normally, if thick wall and want to save cost, AC LR will be the best option.

do you running some kind of hostel? hmm.gif i will ask my friend to you. if you want proper quote, pm me your name, hp num and address. I just running some this subs forum and discussion, for sales / quotation, i just helping her laugh.gif

its directly import from US. so, they are not 3rd party. kinda master reseller i think

1. I running Cat6 for HDMI so might as well use the same for the new cables

2. so better to use AC LR

3. this is for a house lar, not hostel, but it is a three generation house so plenty of users, plenty of devices, so many streaming and what not, I want it to be reliable, and fast!

QUOTE(liquid.D @ Nov 10 2016, 02:16 AM)
Hi Bro... I'm planning to use this kind of setup for gaming / etc...

01.Router Z (192.168.1.1) connected to 1 ubiquiti AP (LBE-5ac-16-120)
02.1 Ubiquiti CPE I (LBE-5AC-23) at my friend house and connected to 1 of his LAN port router (A).
03.1 Ubiquiti CPE II (LBE-5AC-23) at my other friend house and connected to 1 of his LAN port router (B).

* CPE I & II connected to ubiquiti AP
* Router A & B will have different IP / Pool ... (192.168.2.X) & (192.168.3.X)..
some question :- is it possible that people from router A & B communicate to each other and also communicate to (192.168.1.X)? ... can ubiquiti cater this kind of setup automatically via their route table?... or need to do static route via main router Z?

* Do the setup as above can be troublesome?
* Do you think the setup above expensive or it's value for money?
* How much roughly the cheapest total cost of 1 AP (LBE-5ac-16-120) & 2 (LBE-5AC-23)?  hmm.gif

* Off Topic question, how good are the CPE tested indoor? .. example connecting 2 23dbi (ptp) across a few houses, does the wave can penatrate to few houses with straight indoor line for 300 meter and still can get good reception?.. this is a experimental question if perhaps someone / seller have done some experiment with this equipment..  brows.gif

P/S : Actually I'm planning budget for own cheap project with gaming friend related to networking / Streaming HD|4K & Gaming using product above...
*

so, your network diagram will look like as above right. good for me, no problem.

Yes, it is still possible for you to make that IP config.
I think its value for money. you had to provide internet bandwith and paid by sharing. while the hardware is one time paid instead monthly paid for the internet. as for me, its value for money.

LBE-5ac-16-120 around rm470 per unit
LBE-5AC-23 around rm360 per unit

wave penetrate the house.. then the signal slowly become weak. its better if it does not need interference... then can enjoy full speed. but even if its indoor, the alignment need to be done properly.. I'd suggest you mount it as high as possible to get clear line of sight otherwise you will face issue.

cheap project, cost more than 1k? the router you use, need to be consider as well. as long as it support big bandwith, then streaming and gaming on 4k will be not an issue.

I think the price around that... I dont sell it, my friend does. Need check with him too. I just helping him open the thread only. and if any request, i will pass over to her. She order it from US directly. so, probably there is price different. Depends with current MYR rate.

Yup I'm looking for that kind of device, it's also "awaiting stock" status from another supplier in KL (I live near KL) so I'm finding other place that currently have LBE-5AC-23 stock and have easy access for warranty... perhaps you can forward to your friend and also how fast did the stock will arrive if she have ETA is better, I also would like to know the rate if I take more than 1 device, and also need to know location of him/her shop incase him/her stock is arriving faster than other vendor.. for LBE-5ac-16-120 unit it's in stock according to another vendor with slight different in price, I'm thinking to buy  in bundle so that our "Network gaming / Sharing" project Price  & warranty are well suited and easier to kick-start the project when all the necessary equipment are ready and accessible...  biggrin.gif

P/S : If his/her shop are around Selangor / KL then it's better option.  thumbsup.gif
*
its at subang jaya there. empire gallery. if you really want, then can confirm with me. because, around 10 units order only. you can check my signature. address and contact num. just that, this stock kinda hard to get and its limit this few months. quite long she wait for the stocks.

cz i need some unit for review and testing. i borrow from her as well. laugh.gif

Noted thanks eastherd, may I know if static route can be use on all kind of router? I means, not many router that have many options.. not sure if static route are standard function, because I think static route need to be maintain on all router that have different subnet so that they can talk to each other right.  smile.gif
*
its better to have simple route. dont make it complex. so, can troubleshoot it easily if there is some error smile.gif

Hi, i am look for access point to extend my factory Wireless signal, currently i am using Streamyx 4MB.  Any suggestion on which wireless AP to use ?

Currently my setting for wireless AP is Tp-Link WA830RE somehow i felt the wireless signal is not strong enough at some spot.
*
You need wireless to cover a particular area or need cover all the factory floor? Wireless signal is not strong at some spot due to distance?

Hi,

May I know how is the capability of AC LR model for 2 semi D house with just for Wifi hotspot purpose? There are quick numbers of edge of wall due to re-construct it 2 in 1....or any proposal?

Planned to use TM Unifi modem and connect to one Wifi router as hotspot...
*
unifi internet speed, its better use ac lr + now its end cycle of uap lr.

uap lr and uap ac lr range is the same at 183m (600 ft). But AC LR able to run simultaneous band. and have 5Ghz frequency.

while uap lr only have 2.4Ghz

Speed and Range values may vary and are based on optimal environments..

Do you think its sufficient to fully covered 2 semiD house with total build up area 60 x 70ft?

Can you provide me model and price for the wireless router?

thanks.
*
1 unit for each semiD? based on my exp, 2 unit per semiD at least. then able cover all floor. + position also influence the signal

Nice. Those are full on ubiquiti man. How is the performance using wan through all 4 wans? Does it go through the switch chip or straight to cpu? i always wonder. Btw whats your isp? 4 diff ones?
*
so far stable and good performance; not doing fail over. as I need big bandwidth. the wans straight to cpu then switch. Yes, 2 Different ISP, Ohana and TM Unifi. 2 WAN each. so total 4..

*
yes.. because, around my area are 2 restaurant, 1 office and 1 mini hotel. so i provide service for them. yes, there are running servers + cctv.

vpn laugh.gif currently down... few months back it was good but then, after i setup quad wans balancing, vpn also down even the setup is good but it still mystery. sweat.gif

may i know if if u run vpn on the router or dedicated server? Its a known issue for running vpn server on edgerouter using multi wan.

vpn run on the router. its not a known issue... probably some bugs... especially port forwarding issue... if running on multi wan. for sure have difficult times handling port forwarding. over than 5 port forwarding will cause u headache. i guess, there is limitation for a router than real load balancer.

Yea i agree. I wouldnt use a built in vpn in your case. Port forwarding is a headache? Is it like a bug issue? Yea there are a few some bugs needed ironing on edgerouter. In my case, i need l2tp client interface which is non existence.i guess its a waiting game. Anyway, since there are many clients connected to yr system, are u segmenting them via vlan? How did u do yours?
*
some bugs, but yeah.. waiting ubiquity programmer to fix the bug. however, it is usable and still great for enterprise level + good gui with user friendly interface.

yeah.. segmenting them via vlan... have a lots of vlan and sometimes, i confuse my ownself (have 6 or 7 of them) doh.gif laugh.gif so i keep it simple, by using specific vlan for each site.

Ahaa.. i would imagine that will be confusing. Btw, does pppoe on unifi biz require vlan? I dont suppose they hav an iptv with it right? Btw, is there any free hotspot deployed around your system area? I may go to the area and check it out. LOL

no hotspot deploy, just normal wifi... sweat.gif erm, TM pppoe in malaysia have vlan tagging. just that, unifi biz dont have iptv...

have you heard about Aries Telecomunication? provide 1Gbps. using fully ipv6 laugh.gif

Holly wow! That must be amazing. Just one thing tho, if its ipv6 only, then the rest of ipv4 wont work. I can count my ipv6 use with one hand. Lol. Maybe can setup the router to tunnel an ipv4 route. But i have not study that yet. Cz most isp uses a stacked protocol anyway. Damn thats interesting
*
yea, they said they focus on klang area for time being.. and i dont think malaysia prepare for this ipv6 yet.... still lacking in facilities. + ipv6 is very expensive nod.gif
