Me too, didn't receive anything until now.

Thinking out loud on strategy for new T&C:

1. Swipe RM980 at POS Online (to pay AEON Credit), pay RM20 convenience fee

2. Then if If I swipe RM1,000 per month on WISE chosen categories, get RM100

Total spend is RM2,000, net cashback received is RM80 (i.e. 4% return). Plus, there's the benefit of delaying AEON Credit payment by 1 month.

If annual fee can be waived, then this is still fairly competitive since the highest cashback cards are only around 5% (max 6% for PBB VS).
*
I was thinking of the same thing too. hmm.gif Headache.

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Sep 8 2016, 10:45 AM)
they still think giving RM100 per month is their main selling point.

"highest cash back in the market"

therefore, they dont budge when anyone asks for waiver.
*
Heard that they start giving AF waiver these days. I will try my luck. laugh.gif

UniFi nope. Don't want to waste my quota.

I also have HLB mach, but i found like no benefit at all.
The only benefit is all my point is transfer to MAS enrich card?
*
There's a thread for MACH. I guess yours is the MACH Signature. The normal MACH card is very useful for my dining. One of my most used cards.

Can continue discussion about MACH in its thread.

Revision on Hong Leong WISE Platinum and Gold Credit Card Terms and Conditions

user posted image

Questions and Answers

Q: What is the change made to the WISE Credit Card spend condition?
A: The minimum 10x swipes with RM50 spend condition will be replaced by minimum RM2,000 posted retail spend in a calendar month effective 1 Oct 2016. All other existing features and conditions remain unchanged.

Q: Why did Hong Leong Bank make the spend condition change?
A: HLB made the spend condition change to improve simplicity and convenience. The WISE Credit Card is one of the most competitive programmes locally and this change is vital to allow us to continue to offer this programme.

Q: Does it mean that, regardless the number of swipes/transactions I perform, as long as I meet minimum posted spend of RM2,000, I will enjoy 10% cash back on chosen categories?
A: Yes, you are right. Please see illustrations below for better a understanding:-

Q: RM100 cash back over Total Spend of RM2,000 is up to 5% cash back, not 10%?
A: 10% cash back is calculated based on amount spent on your WISE chosen categories, not on Total Spend, for the month. It has always been WISE Credit Card product feature since it was launched. This feature remains unchanged effective 1 Oct 2016.

Q: With the 10% cash back, will I still enjoy up to RM100/month?
A: You will still enjoy up to RM100 cash back on your chosen categories. This feature remains unchanged effective 1 Oct 2016.

Q: What will happen to the categories I have chosen?
A: Your chosen categories remain unchanged effective 1 Oct 2016. You will continue to enjoy 10% cash back, up to RM100 if you meet the RM2,000 qualifying spend condition.

Q: My average spend per month on WISE Credit Card is RM1,000. How could I meet the minimum RM2,000 requirement?
A: WISE Credit Card gives out one of the highest cash backs. One way to meet the minimum RM2000 requirement is to consolidate all your purchases on your WISE credit card, for instance, pay for daily shopping, dining, groceries, insurance premiums, utility bills as well as enrol for auto-billing service.

Q: If I decided not to keep my WISE Credit Card, what option do I have?
A: If you find that the changed WISE Credit Card does not suit your needs, you are welcome to switch your WISE Credit Card to another credit card. No switching cost involved. Just give us a call at +603 7626 8899. We will be happy to assist you.

If i were to cancel the card before my AF charged, but on the GSC gold combo card i still have installment yet to be settled.

Is there an option to transfer these outstanding to my Mach card?
Or i need to settled everything in order to cut my Wise card since it's a combo card.
*
Why don't you cancel Wise only?

RM0.00 HLB: Effective 1-OCT-16, earn WISE Card cashback with a min spend of RM2000/month instead of min 10 swipes. More info @ www.hlb.com.my/WISE

QUOTE(asiatrader98 @ Sep 9 2016, 03:40 PM)
in other words, we must spend RM1k to the selected catagories with another RM1 to other in order to get RM100 ?
with this condition, and need to pay the af, i think most of them will say bye bye to wise card
*
RM 1 or RM 1k?
You can spend all RM 2k for the selected categories.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 9 2016, 03:54 PM)
think it the other way.

with this new requirement, effective CB goes to 5%. so where does the 'missing' 5% goes?

1st 1K pay those "dan lain-lain" spending, e.g. car service, insurance, etc etc
2nd 1K goes to category spending.

so, you got 10% for 2nd 1K (within categories), but 5% is actually indirectly paid for those 1st 1K (dan lain-lain) spending. that means your car service or insurance gotten 5% cashback, indirectly.

disadvantage is you need to manage 2 pools of RM1k spending in order to maximize it the cb.

well, that's just my view. sweat.gif
*
Yes, it seems this is a good card for general expenses. laugh.gif None of the cards in market gives 5% for those yet. tongue.gif

Because when i applied for Wise it's a combo campaign where i get dual card.
Similar to M2C.
Therefore i assumed if i want to cancel Wise, the GSC card have to be cancelled as well.
*
No la, it is two different cards, not like M2Cards. You can cancel Wise only. smile.gif

I am think of spend RM1000 in the 3 categories, then another RM1000 in other spend. But I don't know if there is anything not consider as retail spend.

Then after you get the cash back, you can cancel your card and ask them to transfer to your CASA or other HLB cards. Others have done that and it works. I have not tried it out myself.
