Guys, can anyone confirm if Setel's CardTerus for transaction at Petronas pump works with HLB Wise Visa for Petrol cashback?

I looked through previous discussions, apparently there was a change in MCC along the way. Unclear if CardTerus is using MCC5542 or MCC 5541 or otherwise for CardTerus payment at Petronas pump.

MCC 5542 is used for Automated Fuel Dispensers and other similar services.

Setel CardTerus is not MCC 5542.

What is the MCC for CardTerus then?

Edit: Just received late evening yesterday, via HLB Connect app notification.

Only able to redeem additional 10 plays from min RM500 spending bonus.

Same here, got nothing. All my 10 tolls were either 1, 2 or 3. Not sure if unlucky or the dice is biased to smaller rolls. So far didn't win anything

New redemption code for Ladder Up campaign is in. From the TnC, my understanding is that grand prize winner can still win ultimate prize (X90) -(as there is no mention of Grand Prize share same capping with Ultimate Prize), is that correct?

I still haven't got for the 1st week spending, i e non RM500 cumulative spend

I checked with UOB, my Setel CardTerus petrol transaction is classified as MCC 5542.

That means HLB Wise should receive petrol cashback as well.

Will test this weekend and see.

Can MCC differ from bank to bank?

Do i earn 8% cashback on weekends if i top up RM100 on my Shopeepay balance?
*
Of course, yes. Can top up rm182 one short to get RM15 (max) cashback.

Remember, this is based on calendar month transaction, not statement month

Possible as merchant may have a few devices or payment gateways served by different banks.

Buy Petronas vouchers at Lazada (-10% from 9/9-13/9) and Shell vouchers at TNG wallet lah, you can save more than 8%.
*
Fair enough. But got months petrol usage is higher. And Petronas Mesra is equivalent to another 1.0% cashback

Did HLB stop emailing the estatement to you guys too? I notice from June 2023 onwards there is no pdf attachment in the email, need to manually go into their website to retrieve.

Is it the same for you guys?

Update: For HLB Wise, it's considered MCC 5541.

So now it's weird, different cards/banks can have different MCC for the exact same transaction? How come???

Did anyone get anything this round of Ladder Up? I had around 100 entries, got the following

3 x Gold (1xRM28 and 2xRM18)
3 x Silver (3 x RM0.50)
5 x Merchant voucher (4xRM5 Lazada and 1xRM5 Shopee)

Had a few shots at the grand prize but never got the required dice rolls (either 6 or 3).

hi guys, anyone took HLB's 12m 0% balance transfer promo before?

Wanna ask, is the monthly installment/repayment really 5% of outstanding balance only?

For example like this:
user posted image

BT amount = RM13,163.40

Initially i thought the installment would be RM13,163.40 / 12 = RM1096.95/month for 12 months

But when i get my CC statement, the min payment shown as 5% like in above screenshot.

so 1st repayment = 5% of it = RM658.17 instead of the RM1096.95 that i expected

I tried finding anywhere else in the statement for the payment amount and nada, it just shows my outstanding balance and min payment = 658.17

not like CC statement where it have 1) outstanding amount 2) amount to pay 3) min payment req

I scared if i just pay the min amount which is the 5% later will kena interest/charges..

EDIT:
also, yes im aware, if pay only the 5% amount every month, at the end of tenure at 12th month will still have a lot outstanding balance that need to fully settle at one go.
Which i guess is where HLB try to trap people la. But for me is okay cause my financial discipline is tight.

So if can really pay just 5% instead of the BT amount/12months then i will go for it. The extra money just park it somewhere and keep. then at final month need take out and pay off all the remainder balance
*
Yes it is really just 5%. Source: I have a 0% BT plan with HLB

ok thanks for your confirmation!

btw another question, when you do the BT you will get another 16 digit account number right (similar to credit card 16 digit number)

So do we pay to the BT account number or is it fine to pay to the CC account?

Cause i already saved the CC account as one of my favourites in my paying bank.

If it doesnt work like that, means i need set up a new favourites for the BT account for the monthly payment.
