oh flash seperate batt ah? i keep thinking its sucking from the same......but 4xAA its crazy le, must be damn heavy..........

i also worry about flash le, might affect my white balance..... (yellow lite, white lite, or maybe pitch black)
*
why not you go get one flash then test the weight..and test your wb everything..
its not that heavy or anything like lifting a car or something..just add a bit weight only..unless you didnt eat for 3 days..then you shouldnt be problem handling your camera with a flash.

Isn't the flash gonna "drown out" the other light sources? Is the light from flash considered Daylight colour?
*
With proper control of the exposures you can maintain a certain degree of background details with the flash just doing the necessary fill up of the shadows of your subject's face.

Yes its heavy, the results are worth it. You get what you give. Suggest you get the equipments earlier to familiarized yourself. It would be only big it would be heavy.

If you're using the 400D + Kit Lens and + 430 EX , well.. a battery Grip would improve the handling a whole lot

Ada, but it's for rental ... what is your budget for a rented lens per day inclusive of a refundable deposit?

Rental per day + deposit you can almost buy one already. Rm600 per day + Rm1000 deposit for a EF70-200mm F4L. Ppl only rent when they got assignments, not really recommended for 'leisure' use.

It's only Rm2600 for a new one, how bad can it be until you have to 'test' 1st before buying? brows.gif

I do not recommend 3rd party flashes, get the original ones. Firstly, their prices are not THAT far until you have to op for them. Secondly, should the flash/camera body goes faulty due to either one failing, warranty only covers the respective equipments, for example : Canon won't cover you if your x-brand flash cause a surge to the body that fried the circuit. If BOTH are same brand then the manufacturer WILL consider repairing the items involved for you and cover you under the same warranty.

It's for your convenience thumbup.gif
