thanks for the guidance, btw has anyone cut themselves with the helicopter before?.. i accidantly cut my lip while playing my heli  sweat.gif

You are lucky that it's a toy heli hitting you.
If it's a 450 heli... just as my last calculation, the speed of blade is at about 240km/hr.
That's enough to took some teeth out from your mouth and send you for plastic surgery. shakehead.gif sweat.gif

found the spare part on times square... the spoilted part is " Balancer " it cost my friend rm15 for a little plastic..

Added on June 14, 2009, 9:16 pmby the way.. any people here hav play those " TOY Helicopter " before ?? i just bought 1... i found that plastic chassis is very easy break... any DIY method to Harder the chassis ?
*
For such heli, normally don't have upgrades. Even if there's upgrades, it will cost more than the heli itself. So just stick to it, fly crash, fly again, till it can't move anymore. What you gain back is the experience of flying. Then move on in getting a better heli. icon_idea.gif

hahaahaha ... it is true that upgrades costs more than the heli most of the time
i am personally experiencing this already altho i am still a beginner tongue.gif

tried hovering the 4G3 with new brushless + ESC setup
this combo is not very good ... it sucks up lipo like nobody's bizness laa ... hover for about 1 min or so then power start dropping liau
power was very good in the beginning though ... and the sound really very GANAS ... hehehehe

might opt for another brushless setup (non walkera) now pending feedback ....
*
Did you change your ESC?

QUOTE(farkey @ Jun 15 2009, 08:30 PM)
hi there,

i just bought rc controller for online shop...
just receive today..from usa
the heli called typhoon rc helicopter..
but i dont know how to flight it..
this heli queit complicated..its not the simple heli that our local distributor always sell..
i post the controller pic with this post..it have lcd at the controller
anyone who know to control this kind of rc heli???
if not i just want to sell it..no time to learn to fly..zzzzzz

this the detail bout the heli

25-3/4'' main rotor diameter, 24'' long, 8-7/8'' tall, 6'' tail rotor diameter, 22-1/2 oz. flying weight. Completely ready-to-fly right out of the box, no assembly required. Charge the 3-cell 1800 mAh Lithium battery with the included Lithium safety charger, install 8 AA cells in the 72 mHz 6-channel helicopter transmitter, and get ready to learn collective pitch helicopter flying. Typhoon's brushless motor has plenty of power for sport flying and learning basic aerobatics. The 1800 mAh 3-cell LiPo battery will provide about 10 minutes of flight time. Includes an all new heading hold gyro for solid tail control, a belt driven tail rotor that is smooth and quiet, aluminum tail boom, wooden main blades, and ball links on all control linkages for slop-free control. Autorotation gear, durable frame, and tough landing gear completes the package.
*
It seems to me like 6 channel heli. You'll need a lot of training before you can fly.
BTW, why you get it from US? There's a lot more in M'sia. MOST important, availability of spare parts as for sure you'll crash.
Try getting a simulator, and practice in the sim before you fly it.

GOOD LUCK~ rclxms.gif
PS: There's a lot of RC online shop in M'sia.

i guess i just about have everything i need to build a heli too .. hehehe
a few more misc items and then i am set to go tongue.gif

wanter to build my 450 head during the weekend but discovered i dont have any grease to put in for the thrust bearings .. hahahhaa
*
I just use normal grease for cars.
Just remember where to apply for permenant/temporary locktite.
For me, I apply permenant locktite to those head places where i can apply for heat.
Temporary locktite to places I'll do a lot of dismental/unable to apply for heat.

aiyak ... got temp and perm locktite one meh ??
head all use perm and the rest of the heli use the temp one la rite ?? hehehehe

tail oso can apply heat worr ... temp or perm ??
*
Most of the head part i use perm locktite unless those part i can't apply heat. (Won't dismental unless major crashes)
The main shaft part/main gear i use temp locktite. (Minor crash will bend the main shaft/ damage main gear)
My tail i use temp locktite only, since mine is belt driven.
Yours maybe you can apply perm 1 but be careful not to deform your tail gear during heating process.

I.e: Normally RED=Perm/high strength, Blue=Temp/low strength
Once i used allen key to open RED locktite without heat which result in stripped allen key.

hmmm ... actually is there any advantage or difference of locktites ??
i didnt even know there is perm and temp ones ... isnt locktites just for screws not to jump out when too much vibration ??
*
Well, as temp locktite is low strength, so over the time of heavy vibration (especially on head part), screw will get loose.
This happens to my pinion gear, flybar, main blade holder from fethering shaft (This only use temp because hard to apply heat).
Unless you always crash so is the same.

Temp locktite can be removed by tools.
Perm locktite require heat to be removed by tools.

means like CA liau la the perm locktite .. CA oso just needs heat to be applied to remove ... hehehe
*
How fast will CA dry? Never tried it for screw before so i'm unsure. hmm.gif
Perm Locktite took about 2 hours, means you can still play with it, fine tune before let it to dry. laugh.gif
Temp Locktite took about 15 mins.

the CA i am using will dry within 20 secs for super thin layer laa .. hehehe
i supposed i will just locktite using the normal locktite 1st laa

went to mega shop earlier .. bought grease (i think its silicone one)
the hot glue gun got ... but dont have the glue stick ... so no point .. hahahahaa
*
20 secs is kind of fast.. shakehead.gif
The timing just nice to tighten the screw. If tight too slow will end up with untighten screw... scary.. rclxub.gif
Good la you... always mod this, mod that... hahaha~~ like inventor... why don't you come out with your very own brand upgrades for heli? laugh.gif

haiyaa ... the place where i buy is where everybody buy oso .. hahahahaaa

btw ... i just managed 2 packs @ 3mins each of hovering the 4G3 without crashing into anything !!!
and i did that under the aircond which was going full blast .. hahahahaaa

too bad i only got 2 charger ... if not will hover non stop .. hehehe
my 6 packs of lipo will be going major charging and usage these few days .. hahahaahahahaa

Added on June 16, 2009, 5:50 pmps ... i turned down the pitch curve which was too aggressive in the walkera tx so i am running higher HS with lesser pitch ... MUCH more CONTROL leh

tail wagging oso gone altho head is not holding as well as it should due to being a rate gyro ... i adjusted the gyro sensitivity and rate in tx oso

hey cliff ... i bet u didnt know this walkera tx that comes with the 4g3 is programmable one leh ... hehehehe

Added on June 16, 2009, 5:55 pmhmmm ... now thinking of making a nice blade balancer for the small blades of the 4G3 .. coz can feel they are out of balance
vibration is almost gone to not disturb the gyro ... thanks to the super duper acrylic double sided tape ... huahahahahahahaa

pps .. this acrylic double sided tape is very strong but must clean surfaces properly 1st laa .. and once set it is almost GEL like thus keeping alot of the vibrations away from the 4n1 tongue.gif
*
You bet, i don't know that walkera TX can do so much.
Having a high HS is wise on EP.
I'm using this setting for my TX to 1- 0%, 2- 65%, 3- 80%, 4- 90%, 5- 100%. My heli will lift off at about point #3 with +5 pitch curve.

I think i gonna order a new fly bar. My trex is having some vibration affecting the HH gyro.
Might get a new GY401, still thinking.
I think i will order from MegaStation since they give best offer. thumbup.gif

get the align 750 gyro with digital tail servo 520 combo .. only rm100 more than the 401 alone
the 750 outperforms the 401 in all departments ... and the casing is much smaller and easier to hide from the blades/flybar
and the 520 servo is very quick and strong coz its meant for size 500 helis ... hehehe

my dx7 is set about the range for throttle ... but i have not done anything with the trex yet laa .. too engrossed in my 4g3 .. and too much fun .. hahahahahaaa

ps ... i assume u are using double sided tape to stick the gyro to the heli and velcro strapping of coz ... get the acrylic double sided one ... really a lifesaver for gyro vibrations and it sticks really really well (provided u clean the surfaces abit)

*
Oh, 750 really so good? Will consider it.
Where do you get those acrylic tape?

Manage to hover about 5min... but all over the place la... hahahaha thumbup.gif

I also started by hovering all over the place.... scary..... sweat.gif

The 750 seems like no stock from Mega Station.. will ask the boss when it'll be restock.

Mine using Tail motor... u won't know when it will drift to sometimes...  sweat.gif
Or change direction whenever it likes...  rclxub.gif
*
True, true. Can upgrade to belt driven??

QUOTE(QiW @ Jun 17 2009, 09:17 AM)
the align stocks are coming in mid-end of this month according to the boss
alot of the parts for the 450 pro gone off the shelf liau ... must be lots of ppl buying the 450 pro

the 450 pro is not in stock yet at the shop ...  align parts and heli all coming in same shipment mid-end of this month
*
That means the stock is coming anytime from now... GREAT~ biggrin.gif thumbup.gif
Shall wait for it since MegaStation offer at price RM100 lower than the market. I shall wait.
Meanwhile use some better double sided to stick my gyro.

BTW, is the boss for megastation a Malay?

for sure lorr ... its so small .. lots of wires running around
i think more electronics than your hbfp leh ... got 2 esc in there and 4n1 ... plus the main motor is just beside the 4n1 only ... all cramped up for space

actually i like my 4g3 so much i am now hanging in the middle whether to buy uniqueXme 2nd hand 4g3 or go for the 4#3 full BL .... still got time to think think .. per-orders to uniqueXme closes end of this month maa ... hahahahaa
*
For me, i totally don't have much feel for the 4#3... but if good i'll think again.
Will stick to my 450 for time being.

hahahahaa ... the feeling of flying outside totally different from flying inside the house
why do u think i like my 4g3 so much and the 450 pro still in the box ?? tongue.gif
the other obvious reason is "if i can fly the 4g3 i can fly anything" case laa .. so once i can confidently fly the 4g3 around in and out the house = chances of crashing the 450 will be so much lower liau ... hehehehe
*
Wah... poison poison~~ laugh.gif

Yup can upgrade to belt driven...
I have oredi upgraded to Guru Z fiber frame...
So now only left the belt conversion kit only...
But wait till my tail motor die 1st lar...  whistling.gif

Added on June 17, 2009, 10:00 am

I believe the only reason like the 4#3 is because it can fly any where...
U can fly it indoor thn raining season... Can fly outdoor if wind is calm...
Repair cost much more cheaper compare to 4G3...
Lest setting compare to CP heli...
*
Don't wait till the motor die or you'll end up crashing other parts ma... it's about life and death.

Hmmm~~ hmm.gif I'll think about it again... but if you guys getting, LET ME KNOW~! I'LL JOIN THE 4#3 CLUB~~ thumbup.gif

99% will get the 4#3 full BL laaa
the balance 1% is whether or not i should forsake the 4#3 and go for another 4g3 ... hehehehehe

yesterday hovering the 4g3 around with the BL oso damm syok .. i lowered the pitch setting and maintained the throttle settings ... so higher throttle with lesser pitch ... even hovering with aircond blwing into it oso got that wrrr wrrr blade/wind sound just like those bigger helis ... damm kow high laa ... hahahahahaa

today if got time will go to jalan pasar and source the wire i need for rewinding my BL tail ...
