My best guess is another 1.5 to 2 years. Not worth waiting for.

Haha thanks for the info.

Don't think there's any Penang Dealer at all. Penang belongs to Prima Merdu (Branch).

The new FL M3 , most likely another year or more.

Oh I see.. May I know what is the difference bermaz and Prima merdu? I know they are same boss. I just visit and nothing much rebate or offer. Just plain car. I mean in Penang. I now working in Penang.

No difference between all dealers / branches if you're looking for Product / Warranty / Service.

The difference will be on deals you're getting from different places. I'm in KL, so car delivery to you would be quite fussy, unless you can make the trip.

Yeah I do feel that too.

In fact, I started to test the difference when my friend (skyactive CBU) told me about his "feeling".

And then I (skyactive CKD) started testing it.
I don't know if it is really the case or am I feeling the difference because he said there is.
The difference is not by a significant margin for me though

Any idea when this FL will be available in Malaysia ?

By the way,  any Penang dealer / sales person over here? I wanna buy this M3
*
Penang dealer? already PM'ed you :-)

Don't know about the M3 FL, but I went to service my M3 yesterday, and saw that the M6 FL is already on display (don't know whether CBU or CKD)......but it seems that Mazda has reduced the compression ratio from 14:1 to 13:1 for the 2.0 engine, with a corresponding reduction in power and torque :-( Maybe this is only for the CBU unit??

I think it shouldn't be any differences in between CBU and CKD, but sometimes i feel even for same brand of petrol but different location mileage and performance will have slightly difference.

There are some software hacks but they don't work well. JDM Technik has a hardware solution but you need to pay about RM2K for it.

Serious? confused.gif

I think our driving routes/styles contributed to the difference also lah

Maybe the new diesel engine would be the real difference laugh.gif

There is no CKD Mazda 6 unit. The present 2.0L Maz6 is already underpowered. To reduce the hp and torque for the FL will not be a good feeling.

Diesel engine torque is good but only for a narrow range of rpm (typically over a range of 1000rpm only). In a drag race it will probably run out of grunt before a NA engine. There is one Driven video produced by Pauline Tan pitting a Pug 508 diesel, Camry Hybrid and Ford Mondeo in a drag race. The 508 came last despite having the highest torque on paper.

Mazda does not seem to want to go the turbo route like Honda. There is a 2.5L Mazda 3 in U.S. market but we won't be getting it.

Actually android auto is the most stable of them all. I never failed to connect before. I just stopped using it because it limits other functions, but you can view your whatsapp chats on your monitor etc.

Upcoming CX9 will come with 2.5L turbo engine to replace the 3.7NA engine.
