As an actual owner myself and my friend who wrote this blog:

We have no complaints with regards to the reliability and maintenance cost. Almost all of the faults are known and covered under warranty and not take longer than 1/2 days to fix.

Personally I have only changed the thermostat housing, the two front absorbers and that's it..66k km going strong and almost 5 years. Also note that the warranty is extended until 7 years even if u bought second hand.

Lastly, my friend who wrote the blog above have since then passed 160k km with no major faults reported.

nice bro. i hope if i buy one i'll get a good condition too. btw i live in penang island. any reputable mech i can look for to get some info? at least on spare part price

The 208 gti is ok. Its not problematic as the 308 t7
