QUOTE(Suk @ May 17 2007, 12:03 PM) Actually need a lot of attempts if u really want to max out the proc speed. mine at the beggining only can reach 3.5+GHz only. Done many tiral and error, modify on NB and proc cooling, adjusting vCore, vMCH, vDimm & timing bla3.... need some time and effort, also different set up have diff result, other ppl cant help u much aactually ur PSU is reliable? no offence, dont push too far with icute. I own it b4, not so stable. This post has been edited by yehlai: May 17 2007, 04:41 PM |

QUOTE(toughnut @ May 24 2007, 10:05 AM) is buying the cheapest DDR2 667 ram with Micron D9GMH (B6-3) a bad idea? I will go for 4x1Gb TEAM value RAM. cuz seem like most high performance ram use it and the speed scale up with less tight timing. what's the cheapest ram with D9GMH? Crucial Ballistix? how bout ProMOS chip (Team Extreme Dark)? cheaper than D9GMH. though of ditching initial plan of 4x1GB Team Value and go for 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix Perf difference between value and h/p RAM is extremely small (comparing RAM in same speed), we only will see the perf boost during benchmarking due to tighter timing from h/p RAM. But the price difference is huge. In real life usage, 4GB can pawn 2GB anytime. Its lucky, if u can find D9GMH in value RAM. The cheapest i know is SuperTalent 800MHz, but not all batch are using Micron |

I think able to reach 2.8Ghz with stock vCore, or u can try increase it a bit to trial error. Do it saperately for vCore, vMCH, vFSB to troubleshoot
BIOS use the latest one, becoz the original BIOS is not good for o'c. Just incase u r using the original one. |
