The current sienta was launched in Japan in June Last year and was available after that in Singapore, around july 2015... the previous model was launched in Japan in 2003.

Think Singapore also getting the Indo version as well from Oct onward through Borneo Auto as according to the SGP Sienta group.

No, the Indo version is using different engine as compare to those from Japan.. dashboard design and interior also different.. one good point about Ind version is the rear AC blower which will not be available in the Japan version.. but think different engine so maybe having different performance as Indo one is using the existing Avanza engine but with CVT.. As what I know, the Hybrid version is using the same engine as the Priuse C but think different gear box.. Japan version also having different gear box as compare to one in Indo..

Would expect FC for indo version will be higher as compare to Japan version as many of the SGP Sienta owner are able to achieve >20Km/l.. not able to find much info from other Ind Sienta user and think mostly around 18km/l. Of coz depending on driver habit, road conditions..

The Honda Freed2 also claim able to achieve around 18km/l and Hybrid around 27km/l

Its about front windscreen insurance, for Sienta need to add rm636 with tinted and rm492 without tinted..
*
Correction... perhaps I did not mentioned clearly previously.
The SA told me that the windscreen cost around RM1.5K for replacement.
To insure it, I have to top up RM238.50 with GST, should be without tinted.

saw another white Sienta otw back plate PMR.. white is gorgeous too, but i cant afford the maintenance.. haha

One thing about the sienta is it does look small on its own despite the dimension being longer and wider than the avanza. But if parked beside an avanza then you can see that it is an Avanza-sized vehicle. Must be the curves or design factor.

Since the Sienta launch i visisted quite a number of showrooms that i happened to pass through especially during the last Raya break. (although it did annoy my wife a little mega_shok.gif )

Was fortunate enough at one of the showrooms the Sienta was parked up beside the Avanza. Took some photos for comparison.

In terms of 3rd row leg room size. My height is 172cm, weight around 60kg (if it matters.. tongue.gif)

It look small yes, i dont want too big MPV as it become harder to park even with reverse camera n all..

While bigger is not always better IMO.. but practicality, easy access, safety and good after sales service is my highest priorities..

Exore sure is bigger, but with too many problems.. rear tail light easily faulty, bulb burst within a year and so on so on..
