QUOTE(iori57 @ Mar 6 2017, 11:55 PM) Does anyone know the 6% cashback for dining and groceries shopping still works if the card is swapped overseas? Thanks Yes it does. Just a tip from my experience - sometimes the overseas classifications of dining / grocery stores may not be obvious. For example, when I was in France, some places which I thought were restaurants had MCCs that were not eligible for dining. Similarly, I bought groceries at a Supermarket and got cashback, however, when I bought groceries at a Hypermarket under the exact same brand, I didn't get cashback. I couldn't even tell the difference between the supermarket and hypermarket. Notwithstanding the above, the above examples are just rare occurrence. The majority of my transactions were awarded cashback as expected.

QUOTE(DanielOoi @ Mar 7 2017, 09:16 PM) Whatever the payment portal, my concern is splitting the payment. Terms and Conditions no.16 16. Split Qualified Retail Transactions are disallowed and shall be disqualified. QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Mar 7 2017, 09:28 PM) Daniel... from lilsunflower feedback... it works... based on her experience I guess she knows it will be counted... Up to you to choose to trust or not.... if you think the T&C stated otherwise... Search "split" for my comments on this topic. If you don't dare take the risk, you can wait a few weeks for Week 1 to be reported as I did multiple voucher purchases and others have done multiple online payments.

QUOTE(DanielOoi @ Mar 8 2017, 02:34 PM) I have made my 8x to Maxis and TM via UOB Payonline yesterday. Thanks for your input. You're welcome. However, just a tip that its better to swipe as early as possible in the week. Based on last promo, I missed out a few weeks of cashback because I swiped too late in the week (e.g. quota ran out by Wednesday). Please report here if you get / don't get your Week 1 cashback, so we can have a rough idea of when cashback pool runs out.

QUOTE(chenhui87 @ Mar 8 2017, 05:59 PM) I mean I can't get vip point balance info from e-statement. I'm a little confused. Did you download the pdf e-statement (not just view the web page) ? I can see my points on the last page. Whatever the case, something is wrong and best resolved by CS. Edit: Sorry for not multi quoting. This post has been edited by lilsunflower: Mar 8 2017, 09:32 PM

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Mar 10 2017, 12:25 PM) You can find a shop which lets you swipe 8 times? Cashier won't give you black face? QUOTE(BeastX @ Mar 10 2017, 12:31 PM) Well some cashier ... understands... I just ask very very nicely and tell them I need 8 different receipts for company purposes. And of course keep saying thank you thank you. My normal places are: AEON Big (Giftcards at the normal cashiers) AEON, Parkson and Isetan gift vouchers at customer service Touch and Go (Jaya Grocer).

QUOTE(MGM @ Mar 10 2017, 05:24 PM) Good one. But for AEON, Parkson and Isetan gift vouchers , no extra 6% CB and Touch and Go (Jaya Grocer), for every rm50, how much service charge? Or u load one time rm400 but swipe 8x? Vouchers are my last resort in weeks which I really have no spending. Or, if I know have to buy stuff (especially cosmetics) which would normally not have CB anyway. For TNG I reload RM50x8. My car expenses are fully paid by company so the service charge doesn't bother me. Even if they were not paid by company, for every RM50 grocery swipe with my WMC, I will get: RM5 WMC 10% cashback RM6.25 promo 12% cashback The 0.53 service charge is negligible.

QUOTE(yingchai @ Mar 10 2017, 08:58 PM) May I know what WMC card is that which gives so high rebate? QUOTE(MGM @ Mar 10 2017, 09:07 PM) Since u r using WMC your effective CB is 22%, wow. PBB WMC. There's a separate thread for this. The 10% cashback on groceries and dining is promotional, but there have been 3 rounds already covering nearly every month since it was first launched. See the thread for discussion on this.

QUOTE(PikachuPikachu @ Mar 11 2017, 12:43 AM) According to CIMB thread. PTPTN now accept cc payment via their FPX and they are entitled for 5% cash back (online payment). Has anyone tried using PBB VS? Not sure if it's bound to the government related transaction. Even if it's government, you will still get the 6% standard online cashback, just not the promotional cashback.

QUOTE(justanovice @ Mar 13 2017, 09:59 AM) Did 7x online transactions (TM online, Astro.com and MaxisPay) and 1x retail transaction, all RM50 each. I keep on getting sms alerts - multiple transactions from cards - from 4th to 8th transactions. Good feature although very annoying. Yes, me too! I was starting to worry that my card would be blocked, but thankfully everything went smoothly.

QUOTE(justanovice @ Mar 13 2017, 12:59 PM) Sorry if i miss any important point, if you use WMC you will get 22% cashback? I thought it's 10% (wmc promo) + rm50 for 8x swipe Also Just to share on reloading TnG at Jaya Grocer, i asked the cashier on the 53 cent service charges and they told me is 53 cents per transaction. So, if swipe 8x will be 0.53 x 8. This refers to swiping RM50 x 8 TNG (i.e. total RM400) with WMC at Jaya Grocer. 10% cashback = RM40 RM50 for 8 swipes is effectively 12.5% Minus service charge (0.53 x 8 = 4.24 Returns = 40 + 50 - 4.24 = 85.76 Effective cashback = 85.76 / 400 = 21.44%
That's my strategy. And the plus for me is that the RM400 TNG (including the 4.24 service charge) is fully claimable from my company. If you do the same for PBB VS, you will get:
Returns = 24 + 50 - 4.24 = 69.76 Effective cashback = 69.76 / 400 = 17.44%This post has been edited by lilsunflower: Mar 13 2017, 01:17 PM

QUOTE(wjchay @ Mar 13 2017, 01:38 PM) Thanks for sharing. Edit: Sorry OT: WMC 10% promo can be used in conjunction with Swipe More promo? Else, how do you get 50 C B for WMC? Oh man. I totally forgot that the WMC promo 10% is not the same as VS 6% card feature. To be safer, I think should swipe VS incase WMC 10% swipes are excluded (since that's what the TNC says). VS definitely will get both standard and promo cash back so it's a much safer bet.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 13 2017, 04:33 PM) higher difficulty, higher gain i actually prefer this 5x/8x as i can mix-and-match different bill payment for as low as RM50 per swipe. Agreed. And the max spending of RM400 means that if you want to get cashback for all 21 weeks, its only total RM8.400 compared to the previous RM1,000 per week whcih would require RM20,000 expenditure. Also, "cost" of failure is much lower. Even if you swipe only 5 times (i.e. spend RM250), you will still get high cashback yield.

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Mar 13 2017, 06:18 PM) Imho... usually when they design this promo... they assumption will be ppl swipe more than rm50 per transaction... i mean if you really go to retail purchase and so on... how can get exact rm50? So usually when you swipe.. you tend to spend more... but in any promo... sure got ppl finding ingenious ways to maximize it ... haha.. but probably it is a small population so the wider card users will spend more also... i guess that is why going for 5x/8x probably more worth for bank.... Just my 2 cents... Yeh you're right about them hoping you spend more. I purposely scheduled a hair cut and dentist appointment today to swipe 2x. Both cost more than 100, but they account for 2 swipes and normally won't get cashback from other cards.

QUOTE(celaw @ Mar 13 2017, 09:11 PM) my friend is in this situation. Just wish to ask anyone have experience of getting this card by any special way when in this situation. If no, then he would just apply like usual. No that I know of. I think PBB is quite strict about the credit limit. As others have said. Just try.

(DGP) PB SWIPE CASH BACK-WK 19 50.00 (DGP) PB SWIPE CASH BACK-WK 20 50.00
Yay! This promo was a bit hit and miss for me. First few weeks wasted a few bullets because spent too late in the week. But Week 12 onwards was good.
