For Public Bank Fixed Deposit (FD) customers who opt to apply PB Credit Card secured by FD,
the credit line assigned will be based on the FD pledged amount at a ratio of 1:1. To apply,
please personally submit your application at your FD account holding branch and bring along
your FD certificate for verification and photostat copy of your NRIC (both sides).

min placement RM35k. you cannot just uplift/withdraw FD after gotten the card. you're basically pledged/locked the FD amount to the bank for as long as you use the card.

to get the FD fund back, cancel the card.


ultimately, the real question would be, whether it's worth locking your RM35k money just to get a card.

what if emergency to use 35k? why not just put 35k to a proper FD with promo rate, you'll get more profit/interest.

I think u can ask anybody to register for u thru their handphone. What is important is your card's number.

Anyone applied PB credit card supplementary card via email before? is it email to cardsmarketing@publicbank.com.my? This is what I saw from the principal card application form.

i applied via email @ 9 Sep, approved SMS @ 15 Sep, received card somewhere 22/23 Sep.

Hi Guys

I applied via ringgitplus 10 days ago but didn't get any respond back from pbb. Called cs today and was told the application got rejected and they can't let me know the reason the application got rejected.

Is there a way to check why the application got rejected? Such as walk in to branch?

My citibank clear just got approved 2 months ago via ringgutplus. Not sure if applyingg cc in short period will cause the rejection.
