hey guys, im wondering for online spending using CR card, if i use it through paypal would i still get rebate? or i can only get rebate by directly keying in my CC num?
*
Where do you pay to? If can try not to pay through PayPal as you will get charged 0.8% cross border fees & if you buy in other currency, the exchange rate is terrible.

Yes you do get cash back with PayPal.

In fact, CIMB CR has one of the lowest exchange rates compared to other cards. Proven by few members and myself. smile.gif

Lower than personal loan? You get chopped up front even before you get any money! Say you need 20k, you pay 5% (if I'm not mistaken) upfront, meaning 1k, and then you get charged interest daily.

Never do cash advance, it's really not worth it. Better to swipe the expenditure and then balance transfer, at least no up front haircut.

Also you cannot BT out cash advance. Never step into the black hole of cash advances.

Post in recommendation thread. Honestly, among all CIMB cards, CIMB CR is the best. The rest are not attractive.

CR got no premium lounge access at airports. tongue.gif

Btw, all CIMB credit cards have a 10% discount for purchases at some Duty Free Shops selling liquor and ciggaretes in KLIA.

Like what Fruitie has replied, other than CR, there is no other 'good' card from CIMB.

If you don't mind other banks' card that can meet what you need, you may post a query following the standard format at https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3644347

I already have few cards for PPL access. CIMB CR is for other purpose.

Well Signature and higher ranking cards get 15% discount actually.

You know it well, promo is for CIMB cards only. You mentioned "all CIMB credit cards", I was merely correcting you that Signature level and above get 15%. Obviously I was referring to CIMB Signature and higher ranking cards. Moreover this is a CIMB thread, if it's for other banks, I will mention the bank's name here.
