Certain sizes of Goodyear F1 Assymetric 2 tires are made in Germany... F1A3 i dont know..

And. Cheap doesn't rhyme with performance bro.. value for money maybe la.. you are better off with achilles or hankook brand or even viking..

Just a little word of advice to those whom keens on getting cheap tyres….
Cheap tyres doesn’t provide you with the grip/reliability that you need in the event of emergency. You may save some moneys in getting cheap tyres for your car…. But bear in mind, should you ever get into an accident because your car lost grip… the repair work will cost more than the money you saved from getting cheap tyres. And worst… if someone else got hurt…

The black & rubbery thing on your car is what connecting your car to the road… It’s the most important equipment on your car. Think of your own safety plus those in your car… ohmy.gif

Tyre shop owner would say anything to convince you to buy/change tyres from them…. They don’t care whether the tyre is safe or not because in the end…. You wanted it, they supply it. They didn’t point a gun on your head & force to get it.

Hi folks, I would like everyone to have a look at my tires and provide your comments about them (Size 185/60 R14):

Front tires, installed late last year and covered about 10-15k before being rotated in May. After that covered another 8k.

RHS. Advanced wear on the sides. Common knowledge says this is under-inflation wear, however I have constantly maintained it at 33PSI and checking every 1-2 weeks.

LHS. Noticeable wear on the inside, some additional wear on the outside. Similar wear as the RHS tire only less severe.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Rear tires, installed early 2014, covered about 60-70k before being rotated in May.

Scrubbing, noticeable side wear and little cracks. Again, looks like under-inflation wear although I have constantly maintained 33PSI. Are tires supposed to start cracking like this after only 2-3 years? Its driven everyday but always parked under hot sun.

Front tyres.... Looks like alignment issue. When was the last time you send your ride for alignment? Best practice.... Send your car for wheel alignment, balancing & wheel rotation every 8-10k.

Rear tyres.... As you mentioned... its already 2-3 years. The tyre compound will eventually dries up & starts to crack over time. Also, our Malaysian's weather is not helping the situation.

There's another thing I would like to highlight here..... As I've mentioned earlier, the tyre compound will eventually dries up & starts to crack over time, this would also means that the grip performance will also deteriorates. So regardless, how the tyre still looks new after several years... it doesn't means that the tyre is still in good/prestige condition.

Which reminds me of an article about the real possible caused of the late Paul Walker's fatal crash...

For the front, whats the suggested tyre inflation pressure?
Still looks like alignment issue..

For the rear, scrubbing happens if the tyres are not rolling correctly.. probably needs toe adjustment..

Also what brand of tyre?

Last alignment adjust was in May together with the rotation. What kind of alignment issue will cause wear on both outer sides?

For standard 13" is 30PSI, but i'm using 14" and 33PSI
What kind of alignment issue could it be?

Front is Viking, rear is Maxxis

Positive camber will wear out the sides.. or too much toe in..
Inner and outer or outer side only?

Wear on the outside is due to the chamber setting is on the positive side. How it happened? Hard to say.... the workers at the tyre shop did a bad job in wheel alignment... faulty equipment at the tyre shop (giving false reading)...... hitting pothole could also messed up the wheel alignment.... aggressive driving style (whacking corners) could be a factor as well.

What you can do now is send your for alignment again... to make sure the alignment is OK. And this time... try sending to a different tyre shop. Talk to the person whom did the alignment.... find out whether is there any issue with the alignment & etc.... Tthis way..... you'll get to know whether the earlier shop did a good job or not? tongue.gif

33PSI on a Wira seem to be abit high to me.... Sorry, I could be wrong here tongue.gif
