Credit Card works that's for sure. You just can't use CC to purchase Points if your account is in the US.

As for renewing using cancelled card, you can check with judgethe regarding that.

Nope it just wont renew my silver account which expires from its gold trial about 1 month ago.

actually not renewing my gold with a cancelled ccard... just that microsoft automatically renew my gold with my old ccard which i used 1 year ago. so when it expired microsoft will automatically just charge into the same ccard again. unfortunately that same ccard already no longer exist

hehehe last check... late last night still on free gold so consider 2 weeks free gold already. just hope microsoft is still "giving" free gold till thursday night when my wife's new 42" lcd arrive
