6GB. 249USD for AIB pricing although they almost always never price it at MSRP. Fair enough to guesstimate that the price may fall in between 249 and 299 for AIB, and upwards of 299 for pre-OC version.

Biggest question ever is: is this gonna get jacked up in price locally like the RX480 does?

I'd choose GTX1070 at RM 1999 lol.

Edit: If it's 1280 cores, GTX1070 will be faster than this by 50% clock to clock.
*
To make this 1060 enticing, Nvidia is now pressure to price it significantly lower than the RM1999. If it's too close, people will either go 480 or 1070.

What do you actually get from FE anyway?
*
Reference PCB to go liquid cooling. Waterblocks are almost always made for reference PCBs. Custom PCBs either only have the cores liquid cooled and VRM exposed, or looks unappealing because of non-FE custom PCB design.

kesian AMD whistling.gif
but pricing is an issue, if too high will go for 1070 laugh.gif
meanwhile waiting AIB pricing ......
yet, from wcftech said that it doesn't have SLI, not sure true or not
http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-106...eashed-249-usd/

but I wondering in future it will support SLI or not with driver update laugh.gif
*
Nvidia going for the kill. Release 1080Ti and Titan Pascal, and they covered all the bases. tongue.gif

Pricewise:

Below RM1299, RX480 is dead. AMD have to drop price of the RX480. Early adopter will be pissed.
RM1299, it's a wash, can go either way, depending on actual benchmark.
Close to or at RM1999, buyers jump to GTX1070.

Next 24 hours will be exciting indeed. The only way Nvidia can screw this up is if the GTX1060 falls flat on its face in terms of performance, or priced wayyyyyy higher than RM1999 locally.

If it's true no SLI, it's pointing towards performance of two of these 1060s in SLI challenging the 1080, and jeaopardizing the sale of 1070. Still good news to Nvidia, and good chance that this 1060 will actually be 980 in Pascal form.

I think it's a bit pointless to go SLI on a card like this. If you can afford 2 of these, why not just one 1070?
*
Future upgrade. They buy one now, and can only afford another later.

Runs hotter, probably draws more power, driver limited and you'll only get maybe 60% more inconsistent performance?

I'd keep the 2nd card's money, sell the current one, add both monies and get a 1070 laugh.gif
*
They lose out on selling out the first card, and had to top up more to get the 1070. All these depends on how cheap/expensive the 1060 actually is. There's a "tipping point".

there's also the pressing matter of "I held off too long with this <insert shitty card here>, I need to upgrade now, but I only have enough to buy a 1060".

There are many kinds of "interesting".

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jul 7 2016, 09:08 PM)
meanwhile AMD still haven't release any flagship GC right ? since RX 480 can consider as a budget friendly card laugh.gif
but enter Malaysia market is not consider as budget friendly anymore whistling.gif
yet before AMD Malaysia make changes on RX 480 price, we need to see GTX 1060 pricing in Malaysia as well hmm.gif
I guess GTX 1060 price should be similar like what RX 480 pricing in Malaysia, else if too high definitely a lot consumer will go for 1070, too low earn lesser profit, if same then got wars to enjoy laugh.gif
hope Nvidia Malaysia set a better price for 1060 then it will sell like a hotcake, can't wait for it rclxm9.gif
ya true but sure got somebody buy it since 2 1060 can get similar or better 1080 laugh.gif
haha well said biggrin.gif
*
If Nvidia priced the 1060 at RX480, watch AMD squirm. Then only the AMD users will get the RX480 they deserve, at the right price of RM850-950 after price drop, rather than RM1299 now. It took AMD a push from Nvidia to force them to correct the price of their RX480 to the right value. How the tables have turned! laugh.gif

USD249. RX480 suddenly feel uncomfortable. tongue.gif

For 10 dollars extra, you get a 980 stock performance in Pascal form.

It was a response for not having SLI fingers. I don't think 3GB cut it these days with games eating VRAM for breakfast even at 1080p.

Hmm, if based on 5.3,
RM 1320 for GTX1060
RM 1580 for GTX1060 FE

Lol they already know people won't get 2 of these instead of 1x GTX1070 that's why they don't put SLI on GTX1060. With this kind of pricing, GTX1070 sales will increase. NVIDIA StrategyWorks.
*
Oh man, if it's 1320, watch AMD immediately dropping price of RX480. Lol hilarious that it's the other way round: an Nvidia card is what it takes to drop an overpriced AMD card. The world has gone upside down indeed!

Even more pressure locally to price the 1060 now below that RM1789 price. GTX1060 now between 1299 and 1789. tongue.gif

Everyone has their tolerance level and how much they can "overclock" their wallets hehehehehe. tongue.gif

Some can only overclock level 1060 price only. some can "squeeze" extra "overclock" for GTX1070 like you suggested. laugh.gif

At reference 980Ti for RM1599, even the RX480 feels inadequate at RM1299. While stocks last though, which almost always means less than 10 units available.
