Zotac Mini sunflower heatsink, so can be quite hot depending on your ambient / airflow in case. Tweak the fan curve it might be better. I'm not sure how loud the fan is at max RPM though.


Backplate sometimes can help dissipate heat, or in some bad cases, trap heat.. Some longer tri fan cards have backplate to help prevent warping and it looks nicer. Well primarily because of looks and protect the back of the GPU.

GTX1080 or any current generation cards still can't handle recent AAA titles @ 4K very high/ultra settings smoothly @60fps average +. At best, only good for 1440p.

I'll wait for 2-3 generations more

If your existing card is okay for Dota,  and the game you anticipate the most is BF1,  I suggest you sabar a bit and wait for BF1 to come out first.

cyclone9 Me think there will be discount coupons from time to time.  That's how Lazada or Gemfive works.  If dont give discount, people might as well buy direct from sellers like traders here in LYN or go to shops,  rather then wait. If you buy now,  what if BF1 comes out and you find out GTX 1070 should be better.

Anyway,  nothing wrong buying now also.  October not happy can always upgrade.
