Wooot. From your tone, it sounds like you love it more than RX480.
But the big question is, do you love it more than GTX980?  tongue.gif
I love it more than the GTX 980. biggrin.gif

My prediction for the card's performance was spot on, I can tell you that.

Erkkkk, i5-750 GTX 1080 stil better thanĀ  i5-4790K + GTX 980 Ti (provided you game at 4K)

If you wanna see the fps comparison, go straight to 6:20. Hmmm if you have old PC, upgrade path looks like GPU ---> 4K monitor ---> CPU
*
lolz , my gtx1070 jetstream going to combo with my super old i5-750 for 1080p gaming. Wondering it will bottleneck badly or not.

Hope this not too bad for unreal engine 4 devil.gif i love doing some game development in pc.

thanks for this video, i feel little bit better now thumbup.gif

i manage to oc to 21 x 166 = 3.486 ghz if i have no mistake.

cpu bottleneck tongue.gif

Definitely, but will wait Kabylake.
For now, will OC my i5 2500K again, currently 4GHz only. When I test it's limit almost 5 years ago, can reach 4.5GHz no sweat. Sadly RAM not much room for improvement sad.gif

Sked to oc my 3770k..sked tak jadi...later kaboom...but at the same time wondering will my cpu bottleneck my gpu..
*
Wont la. If too high frequency or voltage, cant boot system only, reset in BIOS then test again.

It is one big ass card and rather heavy too. My Palit GTX1080 Gamerock could not fit in the casing. In the end I takeout the small drive bay by sawing off the rivets and hammer out the broken rivets. The drive bays is not use anyway, no harm taken out. It rather heavy now and hanging up there by screw and PCI slot. I think I am going to get a stick or something to support the card. After installing the card, the PC is really heavy, feels like dumb bell.

Thanks to my brother, he help me to saw off the rivets with tools. Not exactly the right tool but it works. For anyone out there wants to remove rivet, google "how to remove rivets from pc case".

Finally fit in. The cables are rather messy, have clean things up later.

you are right. 1070 still have best performance/$ if you can spare few hundreds more.

but if your budget tight and just want do some 1080p gaming, this gonna be devil.gif

is it correct gtx 1070 and gtx 1080 have same transistors count?

brain can't learn how to link the hwinfo sensors to the widgets

widgets not nice to use iirc.

this is the rainmeter plugin to display hwinfo on desktop, and you can control the look of it by skinning.
http://www.hwinfo.com/forum/Thread-Rainmet...-for-HWiNFO-3-1

or you can try NZXT cam, it has overlay for in game too like afterburner. cant remember if can display on desktop, but taskbar should be possible.

Case upgrade !  biggrin.gif

Really need to control impulse buy behavior.
I bought Predator X34 monitor, then forced to upgrade GPU for better performance, then forced to change ( or upgrade ) casing due to GPU cooler size  icon_rolleyes.gif  doh.gif
*
No more money bro after buying 2K monitor + GPU. Have to eat bread for sometime. tongue.gif
Maybe next year, upgrade next gen intel CPU with casing, if have budget.

QUOTE(Demonic Wrath @ Jul 18 2016, 05:45 PM)
Centurion5 casing? Since it looks like you have rotary tool, you should open a hole near the PSU so the cable can route to the back. (and also hide those unused cable)
*
Can't remember the name of the casing. The tools is with my brother who is living far away, not so convenient for me to do. Have to admit, I m not good in fixing things.

Here is some benchmarks for my rig, featuring Palit GTX 1080 Gamerock (no OC, default settings) with Intel i7-3770, 16GB RAM & 2K monitor. I think my CPU a little let down....

Can you please share a GPU-Z of your max observed boost clock, and also the base clock? Just want to have a look how much yours boosted to.

It's time to get a better house for that graphics card. CM Maker5, Fractal R5, NZXT H440, etc. Zero worry about space should you upgrade in the future. Wider GPU, bigger radiator, more fans... no problem.

Since your PSU is at the top of the case, you should route the PCIe cable so that it's coming from the top. It will help a bit to "lift" that graphics card.
