U try at global rom 1st becoz miui admin say can unlock in global but i done mine on china dev rom

First use EDL to flash China rom.
1. Enable USB debug in developer mode
2. Run adb device, then adb boot EDL
3. Run miflash to flash China rom

Then unlock the phone.

After that you can flash TWRP.

is this 16Gb/2Gb version not good enough for casual daily use? i.e. snapping pics, browsing, fb, light gaming..or any major drawbacks so that we should avoid this version

asking on behalf, question:
there is 4 types of TWRP, you guys flash which version of TWRP? Official, Cofface, Safe, or Alka TWRP?

Having used a RN2, I would say the 2gb RN3 should be more than adequate for daily use lah.

If bl unlock officially can use any twrp. Im using alka though. If unlock unofficially better stick with safe twrp. Reduce the chance of hard bricking.

2GB RAM 16GB ROM is even adequate for moderate gamer like me myself so I don't see any reason it wouldn't be enough for users like you.

the only issue maybe the 16gb is not enough for the apps, unless rooted so can install to sd cards..

I run xiaomi.eu roms, and it comes with more free space than original miui global rom does so usually, I have 5-6GB free space left after installing apps.

gemfive ori set is totally out of stock now..lazada still have but at higher price than before..no more below 800 after discount..

yeah, there should be an official announcement within this few weeks
new RN always come out shortly with M'sia launch of current RN

got my RN2 during launch, one month later they announced RN3
now M'sia launch RN3, soon they gonna announch RN4 liao

was thinking of upgrading to RN3, seems like I'll wait for RN4 AP set then

hopefully it is just rn4 with mtk for china market..later only launch rn4pro for global..so that we all new user dun really feel the pain haha

RMN4 seems also feature dual camera.. is it me or they want become another samseng.. releases a lot variants lel.. sony did this before and it costs them a lot, well samseng in the other hand..got lots of cash.

so yeah software support ..you guys know how slow miui to adapt new android version anyway.

also regarding on official bootloader unlock, some people said can unlock via global stable or dev global rom..but high chance it will fail at 50% (yes i tried)

mine unlocked on china dev rom instantly...so just flash china dev rom if you want to unlock, after unlock can just flash back to global rom..

i bought mine from lazada official. says ori set but no thorus sticker on the box like yours

those shop that have ready stock is all AP set right? As long as it is Global rom should have playstore and can use in Msia? Global rom in future can receive update via OTA?
