hi all, i just got my Gtronics RN3 Pro set for about 2 weeks now and i'm trying to root my phone, but i'm currently stuck at unlocking the bootloader. i already received the unlock SMS but when i tried to unlock it stuck at 50% and says something like different MIUI account or something. i'm running global rom 7.3 at the moment. could this be the cause? do i need to flash china dev rom? if yes then how?

(sorry for all the questions. first time user of xiaomi phone here and the locked bootloader and various types of roms confuse me)

Flash to China Stable Rom first using Miflash via EDL. Then flash to china dev rom IN China stable rom using Updater App.
Once in China Dev rom, make sure to sign in your mi account first then try unlock.

I think that's why I'm hesitate to buy AP set. although it's really cheap.
btw, is AP set = direct buy from china?? I find that buying from china directly is even cheaper!

Reset the phone , 1st flesh boot DONT skip to connect wifi becoz u need it to login mi account , the login of 1st boot is a MUZ , it will tie ur hp to ur mi acc . I know u can login to mi account after the skip but gv it a try because i notice there is a different of 1st boot login and login after skip . I had the same problem hang at 50% before too .

how do i do the first step? i googled and EDL all seems about unbricking phone

were you running global rom when you unlocked the bootloader? the unlocking process is really unnecessarily complicated
