i wont recommend redmi especially to non-techies..

im a long tme samsung user.. miui gives me headaches like no apptray.. permissions, delayed viber and whatsapp notification, apps closing automatically,
gps not working.

but with google and lowyat all problem is solved. but if you use it out of the box.. its a nightmare.

Btw, does anyone know whether the mediatek redmi note 3 support YES VoLTE? If it does, any custom rom to recommend that has all the Chinese apps removed but still retain the VoLTE support.

Miui is the easiest to use because there is no app tray. You are a weird person.

Hi all, my new RN3 seems to be still on Miui 7.3.7.0 (LHOMIDD) while my old phone is on 7.5.x.x (forgot the last two digits). How can I upgrade to the latest version?

did a quick check on miui forum and it seems that 7.5.2.0 is for China ROM? Does it contain all the bloatware everyone been talking about?

Maybe what he mean is the permission and all those auto-start and recent menu "lock" feature that makes thing complicated eh??? Because normally, iPhone just need to install whatsapp and use... no extra option... and for ppl with hard decision making, they find it complicated on miui because of all the "feature".

As of delayed notification for viber, whatsapp.... it's true. For those who enabled "battery optimization" under battery menu, which is ON BY DEFAULT. then whatsapp do really have delayed notification, either u set whitelist to the whatsapp as "No Restriction" or you off the function fully.

Even Global Rom comes with bloatware too. It comes with google apps that you won't even use it. Talking about bloatware, Play Store takes up 200 fucking MB while all those "app store" in China ROM takes significant lesser space. To me, both comes with bloatware.
