Anyway, I would like to know how much SOT you guys got from 100-0? For me, I always charge when it goes down to 10% or so. but from that I roughly estimate my SOT wonder around 6.5hrs to 7hrs.

No extra battery drain on that apps?

Wow, thats insane to get 8 hours... not sure why I dont get that much of SOT. do you set anything else? I tried once to battery optimize and make "Restiction" under the Battery saving option, I control some of the build in apps, like Mi Store, Mi Voice, Mi Pass, Mi Wallet....etc etc.... but not sure why end up my whatsapp dont get real time push notification. No matter how I set it back, it just wont works. End up i reset my phone to factory default and wipe everything off and set up everything fresh... then only push notification happen. Since then I do not dare to touch any of those "optimization" Mi has to offer... All i did is set Whatsapp under battery saving option to "No restriction", Auto start allowed, and recent menu locked, the rest is default.

Ok, guys, reading the previous page in this thread, many of you guys talk about the root access. For your information, I am using the MIUI 8 China Dev, and there is a build in Root Access. I do not need to install any SUperSU... It's just there and so far working fine for me. Tried with root explorer, greenify, titanium backup and everything seems working normal to me. So I dont think you need to spend all the hassle to get with SueprSu.

Anyway, i am officially unlocked. People reporting need to wait 10-14 days for the permission to unlock. But I got mine in 3 days, consider lucky? lol

Agreed. Because there does not seems nothing wont work with it. Hahaha. So, dont put too much effort into something that bring no benefit but risk of bricking the phone.

Anyway guys, I have one problem here. I have my bootloader unlocked, I can confirm this coz I've double checked with command at the command prompt and the unlock state is TRUE.

And the problem I facing here, is to boot into the recovery mode. Since I have China Dev MIUI 8 on my device, and I am unlocked. But why no recovery? Everytime I switch off my phone, and open it by holding the volume + power, or either by going into the "updater" apps, and from menu i choose to reboot to recovery. all i get is a BLACK SCREEN WITH AN UNPLUGGED USB PHONE image. why is that? Seems like no recovery on my phone. I've tried to flash TWRP with flashify, or any other method, it just dont works. Can anyone provide me a step by step to get into TWRP?

I will try to use that mentioned method. Thanks. I remember I messed up with flashing TWRP but forgot what method I am using, it all just end up soft bricking my device (stuck at the MI logo forever).

Yes. Im on SD variant, and Yes I am unlocked using the officially way. getting permission from xiaomi and unlock it with their software dled from official site.

So do you mean I cant just boot into fastboot and adb flash the recovery img of twrp? I need to "cook" before I can do all those? It's so troublesome T.T I dont wanna mess up with too complicated things. And from the link you give me. Seems like it mentioned that I need to flash the universal boot.img everytime i flash rom or OTA. awwwwww

EDIT: WEIRD!!!!! When my device is switch on in homescreen, i open up command promt from minamal adb, and type in adb devices. It can detect my device. But when I go into Fastboot mode(the Mi Bunny mode), i type in adb devices. There are no adb devices listed.... WHY!!???? IN that case, how am i going to flash?

EDIT 2: DONE AND SOLVED. even thou adb devices found no device. I fastboot flash recovery and everything seems going well, flashed the universal boot.img as well that was built in of the Safe twrp. Gonna flash the Radon V1.6 custom kernal and give it a try : )

Thanks... I am now already testing on Radon V1.6. I have another question again, I am now unlocked, on MIUI8 china Dev, Root with SuperSU, and of course on Radon 1.6 custom kernal. So, can i still update via OTA weekly? haha... if not, I guess it's time for me to go miui eu. The reason i stay china coz i can do OTA every friday morning, which is easy and fast for me.

Question 2: Anyone who tried the Radon V1.6 custom kernal? Did applied on boot works? Coz after I set everything as recommened and turn on apply on boot.... but after reboot, all got back to default. Anyone?

I am using MIUI 8 latest China Dev. Along with the custom Kernel. Anyone on the same boat with me. and if there are... What is your comment about it?

Can give a bit review compare to MIUI 7/8 ?? Battery performance(concern especially the idle drain), daily driver?, bug if any you notice, and so on... I would like to hear from your point of view...

That is insane with overnight at 1 or 2% how did u do that? I cant even do that with my phone on day 1 of unboxing. Can you tell me your setting or something? I have no games nor any sh*t running on my phone. Clean, a browser, whatsapp, not even wechat, facebook, facebook messenger, instagram, and basically thats all for my apps. All the apps is under "Mi battery optimization" setting, and only Whatsapp is set to "no restriction". My overnight drain is about 6-8% ....

true... I think i might try 2g since about 90% of my day is on wifi. Currently on 4G. I'll try it then. As for the bloatware that comes with MIUI8 china dev, I deleted some but do not dare to use root to clear the other. I've tried once, and weird enuf that my whatsapp no longer push notification (checked all restriction/autostart/etc) push notification for whatsapp just DONT works. And it's not only happened once. I tried a few times, the moment I delete those bloatware like Mi home, Mi Pass, Browser, Mi wallet, Suguo Keyboard, bla bla bla.... then push notification decide to stop to work. Damn.... I just gonna go for the global version of MIUI 8 soon i guess.

Oh ya, no one answer me yet, MIUI 8 china dev, officially unlocked, supersu rooted,custom kernal, will i still get OTA?

Hahaha, defeat the purpose of OTA if i need to get full rom and manually flash it with the mi flash tool.
