Trying out a drysuit for the first time biggrin.gif Didn't really have a good experience though, as the demo suit was one size too big, and I didn't take enough weight down with me. Felt like an OW student allll over again, as the bubble kept inverting me upside down and floating me back up to the surface.

may i ask about? is rainbow runner a closed scuba shop where you have to make an appointment to go even if their site says their office hours are from monday to friday, 9.30 to 6pm?

Walk-in to their shop. I remember they open on saturdays too but i guess that has changed.

As long as you visit their shop during their opening hours, you can go in.

They usually open at the mentioned time and does not require an appointment. Perhaps u went yesterday? Most Dive shops that participated in last weekend's MIDE usually close on Monday or longer to rest and restock their shop after the show. They should be operational by the end of this week.

It's a trilaminate drysuit so it's supposed to be a bit baggy (compared to a neoprene drysuit). But mine was clearly too baggy coz it's sized for someone 10cm taller & 10cm fatter than I am laugh.gif I added 6lbs over what I usually use with a 5mm. It will probably be more enjoyable when I'm fitted correctly.

odd i called today and one of their staff said they were closed and to come again on thursday. i knew about the rest day since logically if you worked on a sunday, monday naturally becomes a rest day.
because if the office wouldnt pick up it means they were close is what i thought...

P.S oh i missed the "or longer part",looks like i have to wait as told by their office then sad.gif

I usually bring regulator hand carry. But be careful in Philippines because their law there doesn't allow any hand carry item that looks like hoses. So regulator cannot hand carry there. A friend also was asked to check in his reg while flying mas from Miri to KK or something like that.

But generally it's fine. Some ppl wear on their BCD into the flight also.
*
Are you serious? wearing BC during the flight? where he going to hide the inflator blink.gif ?

but i guess the travel bcd can be wear as well...

Its off season now at Andaman sea. I dove there once in the month of July. Strong current and bad weather (just my luck). We opted for the said dive sites u mentioned but ended up diving only King Cruiser. The rest of the day we had to dive near Aonang for protection from the elements. Some dive shops did mentioned before hand that they will not go to mentioned site during off season.

I suggest you adhere to dive shop's recommendations as they know the local condition and where best to/not to dive during this period of time.

I dived Phuket once in early August. The sea was sooooo rough.

Was supposed to do 2 days of diving, ended up cancelling the 2nd day because the sea was really rough.
