Im a BnJ regular. ABC is their main DC while salang is a branch. The boats and EQ mostly departs from ABC then towards to salang to pick up divers.
I personally prefer ABC as it's much bigger compare to salang and less crowded. The dive center at ABC has more facilities as well with a small swimming pool for divers. As mentioned, ABC has access to tekek. U can take island teksi from the marine park to the main town if you do not wish to walk (RM10 per person for return ride).

QUOTE(shortleg88 @ Aug 1 2016, 04:31 PM) The person told me from ABC go tekek is 10 minutes walk? Is it true? I prefer a relaxing trip where can chill on beach after dive during evening, if so ABC sounds better? Just read trip advisor for BnJ, they require refresher course if didn't dive for more than 1 year. I did my OW last July and didn't manage to have time to dive, but going Tenggol on Oct and most likely Tioman next year. Both paid deposit during MIDE. Any other place for me to do refresher? Perhaps pool dive? PJ palm pool? Can do refresher if you want. QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Aug 1 2016, 04:39 PM) Yes, 10 minutes walk thru the path, but Tekek is huge. Once you cross over to Tekek, it's the marine park. Nothing much there. If you wanna walk to Tekek beach from ABC takes a long time. Land taxi from marine park to Tekek beach there, I took once cause legs patah edi, was about RM20 per car. Most places require you to do refresher. Anywhere also can do. Just call up the dive centers. Or any DMs can also do for you. tagreptilesWhen we going pool dive again? 1 longgok all go fun dive in pool skali la.

It varies. Personally i brought my whole set as cabin luggage without a hitch. But its domestic, airasia. Others, not so uneventful. One had their reg hoses mutilated coz no 'ropes' allowed on board or something like that.

I usually bring regulator hand carry. But be careful in Philippines because their law there doesn't allow any hand carry item that looks like hoses. So regulator cannot hand carry there. A friend also was asked to check in his reg while flying mas from Miri to KK or something like that. But generally it's fine. Some ppl wear on their BCD into the flight also.

If you have a suitcase or bag that you're checking in, just put your regs in it and you'll have 1-2kg less to carry and less to worry...
