Nooo. My dive comp still follows me everywhere hahaha.
When I was looking for my first dive comp, one of the requirements I wanted was a digital compass so I don't have to bring another compass. And guess what, I've not used the digital compass in my dive comp for the past 8 years. No, I do not know how to use it. It is slow as fuck too. And I was looking to buy another compass when I was required to anyways.

So, my advice, don't bother with the digital compass. Just get a basic one, with nitrox settings.

Planning to go island somewhere in August (family trip). In this trip, 2 persons interested to get their OWD course (no time for theory + confine in KL).

Since family trip and most of them no planning for OWD, budget hotel basically out of choice. Looking around Tioman, and seems Paya Beach Resort is shortlisted (got swimming pool, although not sure why need swimming pool when got nice beach). Any idea which Dive Center can recommend nearby the resort?

I know there is one DC attached (Diver Cove), but seems not really good review from internet, and not 5 Star IDC.

Digital compass on big screen computers like eon steel or perdix is really fast and easy to read

Anyone tried before Tioman Dive Buddy how is it? Their package seems reasonable though is at Genting.

Where to do advance would be the better one? Perhentian, Tioman or Mabul? I want select the specialty course, some dive centre just force you to take the one they offering.

I'm interested in Wreck, Night and Peak Buoyancy (in addition with the compulsory Deep and Navigation).

If me I will choose tioman because their dive site much better then perhentian..mabul is good too but far..

Corals Tioman is better but Perhentian fishes more varieties. At least based on my each experience there before. The better one is still Tenggol.

tenggol haves many of deep dive site..i still no chance dive there.. but some of our member here go dive at tenggol and tell me there is no fish  no ppl knows what happen..some of my dive frens also tell me about this.. maybe the fish all balik kampung kot  but if u lucky u will meet whaleshark at tenggol

Not Specialty but adventure dive.
Just select multiple places and ask them about it. I dont think there is a wreck adventure dive to be done in Mabul. I could be wrong.
