Might be the wrong place to ask but I'll try anyway
I'd love to learn about scuba diving, I have zero experience at the moment, friends with open water license say can try discovery dives first.

However I heard that diving require a bit of 'training' of the lungs. and I also do not know how to swim (a bit of fear as well I might 'drown')

That aside, I also wear spectacles, can I wear glasses and dive? Otherwise I can't see shit...

And I'll be going to Bali this coming Tuesday, I plan to go for discovery dive; my friend told me it should be around RM 200 per pax for two dives.

planning to get my open water dive license next year with monkeemarines. any feedback?

Last weekend I spotted schooling devil rays at least 8 of them at Batee Tokong, Pulau Weh, Indonesia...

Not Specialty but adventure dive.
Just select multiple places and ask them about it. I dont think there is a wreck adventure dive to be done in Mabul. I could be wrong.

Well, can't expect much for island food. You'll get used to it after a few more dive trips. 

Some dive centers do provide really amazing food though. So far I've liked food choices (on the boat) usually in Philippines and Indonesia. Heard Thailand one is good too if the organizer ask them to cook Thai food instead of the usual western food that's catered for westerners.
