Thanks, but not staying near Damansara.

and do u mean PPS need to wash car at their place? if like that i will not consider PPS.
I don't know if PPS requires u to wash at their place. But even if they don't, there will be some form of 'maintenance' required to maintain the warranty.

And trust me, if you do not maintain the coating then best if you don't waste money doing the coating in the first place. You cant simply wash your car at those roadside car washes. Using detergent or normal dishwasher soap is very bad for coating. Plus you cannot use normal cloth. It has to be the soft 'skin' type or else u lose the coating and you get swirl marks.

That's why paying for the coating is one thing. Spending on the maintenance is another. You need to consider both when choosing a suitable coating.

Just so childish that someone reported my post simply because he didn't like my comment.

If u don't like comments, then why be on a forum in the first place? doh.gif

Such immaturity!

Modern Steel TC-P.  Glad to go with this color. Goes well with chrome bits and dark tints.
Is this the same color as the other models e.g City?

Bro, I understand you are getting your car from Honda Roda BB, Jalan Imbi, KL.

This is some insider info for you. The tint which they claim is Llumar Diamond 6 is not actually that. Certain sales ppl at this Honda dealer pakat with the tinting shop. They install a much lower grade of tint but put the Llumar sticker. No way you can get Diamond 6 for only RM1,800.

Also double check the 'terms & conditions' of that RM500 discount from your SA.

This dealership has got many bad reviews e.g customers getting cheated, original car accessories removed & replaced, promises made and not kept, etc.

Make sure you get everything in black & white. Never trust anything verbal from them. If he promises you Llumar Diamond 6 at RM1,800 ask him to take u to the Llumar shop and you ask them directly in front of him. Make sure they give you the original Llumar 10 years warranty slip. It must be from llumar and not from the shop.

Yes.  Modern Steel is a strange color.  It can look great on some models and bland on some models.  After weeks of observation I think I've figured out this color..

1) Has to be on cars with lots of chrome bits to look good
2) Needs dark tints
3) Looks best on polished wheels instead of painted silver and best on the Civic turbo wheels
4) Needs to be clean/waxed to shine and display it's beauty else it will be dull.

It looks good on the City, CRV and Accord, not so much on the HRV and Jazz in my opinion.  For the Civic, I think on 1.8 spec, it looks a little dull, and best to go with TC-P for Modern steel due to the added chrome door handles.

I went with the Modulo Door Visors as well as it maintains the top chrome window trims to match the color.

My 2nd choice was Dark Ruby Red Pearl, which looks great on the Civic and close up.  MSM looks better from a distance vs. Ruby Red.
My own car was Sophisto Grey which is quite close to this Modern Steel color. Maybe a bit darker. But yes, the car needs to be kept clean all the time and shiny. The moment the car is dirty, the paint looks dull and the car looks aged.

Luckily for me I have the Regal Valet car spa for only RM60 per month unlimited. I usually wash my car twice a week to maintain the look.

Wasn't my choice of color but didn't have much choice end of last year since the better colors were taken. But this will be the last time I get grey for sure. Ive always liked silver as it really stands out in the day time plus has a certain color tint/hue at night making it look sleek.

For the V plate, according to the runner, he said should be 15th July start tender process, so by normal practice will be closed at 30th July, earliest to get the car plate is on early of August.
I tendered for my WD...A plate on 3 May 2016 which was the last day of tender for that series.

I was notified I was successful on 2 June 2016.

Car registered the week after that.

So you need to allow 4-5 weeks from the closing date of the tender to get your no plate if ure successful.

usually there is llumar logo at the rear window, Diamond 6 got 10-year warranty, tint film color green in hue, look bright, tinting shop from Llumar, and make sure it is not "Vessolar" which is their house-brand! stay at tinting shop to view when ur car is tinting.
If the tint shop wants to cheat, they will install a low grade tint for the rear windscreen with the Llumar logo. Then the side windows instead of using Llumar Diamond 6, they will use another cheapo brand with the same greenish hue.

Best way to know is to check who is the issuing party for the warranty cert and double check with Llumar that its valid for 10 years.

Many tint shops nowadays are cheating customers with Llumar and 3M products.

Can anyone share their white / red / silver TC or TC-P pics pleasseeee...

Still duno which colour to go with..
My own car is grey and my wife's new Civic will be Lunar Silver.

I saw a black Civic near the Penchala Link just now but somehow it doesn't look classy or sleek. I think black doesn't go well with this design. I think for this design, it needs a bright color like a White or Lunar Silver to stand out and make the features seen.

Based on my observations (daytime and night) I would rank the colors as follows (best first):

1) Silver
2) White
3) Metal Grey
4) Black
5) Red

Dark colors are a huge problem with maintenance. Once a dark color is dirty, the car looks old and the paint dull. Im suffering with my own dark grey car so I know. Luckily the premium car spa is near my house and cheap. So I can wash twice a week.

The design of the Civic is radical.  Lots of panel angles to reflect light, so the colors looks best when they reflect light off the panels for this model.  Unfortunately black does not reflect light and that's why I agree as well, black color robs the beauty of the car.  The nicest colors for this car are the ones which reflect light best..
Yes 100%. And White and Silver do that best.

Anybody considering changing the stock tyres?

Just a bit concerned that the wet grip for this model of tyres isn't good enough.

If you have time, no need to use runner. Runner will charge RM100.
go to JPJ, get the nombor giliran, wait for your turn, choose the desired number, pay cash RM210
It is advisable to have few selection of numbers in case the main desired no. is taken.
Bring a copy of your wife IC & car booking receipt, just in case the JPJ officer wanna see a proof.
Give the details to your SA and register the car within 3 months.
That's it!!
Yes that's what im told. Questions:

1) Do we need to fill in any forms before hand?
2) Once we purchase the number what happens next?
