QUOTE(hoss @ Jul 17 2016, 03:05 PM) Depends, if you park your car outdoors. Have to pray to god everyday it no acid rain. Else, god bless.Black is actually harder to maintain because dirt splashed from the road for some strange reason shows up more on the car than white. |

QUOTE(knwong @ Jul 16 2016, 02:35 PM) Those who are familiar with he route to sg buloh should know; how the route is always is during after working hours. As usual I was on my way back and stuck in the same daily jam from the KTM area under the flyover toward kuala selangor direction (every weekdays it will jam till 7 plus) As i was on a stop and go situation behind the Myvi; all sudden without any alert (no braking is heard; no honk is heard... nothing...) and BAM... the car arse has lift off and my car for force push forward. I immediately grab hold tightly of the steering wheel and press on the brake screaming the F word as I hit the front Myvi..... Next think I know.. I came out of my car; saw the lady in front which was pregnant... I'm telling her.. you're lucky.. nothing happens to you... I cannot say to the guy behind me as I was walking towards the back and I saw the intense damage my car was in and his Wira which was 1 car away from me. Slowly the driver came out of the car and apologizing saying he was avoiding a motorcyclist which causes him to redirect his car from turning left out to the middle lane and right into my car which was stationary on the fast lane. Imagine that.... it might be true but for this person who is driving home the same road everyday would know this direction will jam and from the impact.. he was TOTALLY speeding like HELL.... the rest... well my picture had show:- 1. The impact really hit the dedicated crumple zone 2. So far main body chassis still intact; but I cannot say the same to the rear side chassis and front fender chassis 3. My car totally save the pregnant lady - Imagine what happen to my Civic happen to her... Lastly; yes... I'm frustrated for a 7 days old car.... to be ended up like this....... Now... let see what can Honda Body & Paint can do for me... as I read it here http://www.repairerdrivennews.com/2015/11/...for-steel-cars/ the damage parts are non-repairable and only to be replace. |

Ever since I saw the images you posted on FB, I was wondering how the heck did the Wira hit you so hard. Well, your car indeed saved the Myvi in front! I mean, if the such damage on your car was seen, impact on the Myvi would have been much worse being a hatchback... and she's pregnant too. I hope your ride gets back on the road soon.As usual I was on my way back and stuck in the same daily jam from the KTM area under the flyover toward kuala selangor direction (every weekdays it will jam till 7 plus) As i was on a stop and go situation behind the Myvi; all sudden without any alert (no braking is heard; no honk is heard... nothing...) and BAM... the car arse has lift off and my car for force push forward. For those would like to change the seat cover be extra careful, below was captured from the link provided by meadowance:
Side airbags: The car has SmartVent side airbags, which may malfunction if the front seat cover or a non-OEM factory seat cover is used. |

QUOTE(Bigboyz @ Jul 17 2016, 03:42 PM) May I know what is the vlt for the tint? Ive been using Llumar Diamond 6 high grade security tint on my F10 LCI since Dec 2015. Now just installed my wife's Civic for RM2,800 at Regal Valet, Jalan Damansara near TTDI, KL.VLT - 63% TSER - 59% IRR - 97% Break strength - 181Ib/inch Thickness - 6mil (150micron) Warranty - 10 yrs Color - greenish Its JPJ compliant and no issue with SmartTags unlike 3M tints. The best tints are those with high VLT and high IRR. In our climate we need IRR min 95% if not it will still be warm inside. Also if ure choosing security tints, the break strength is very important. Not so much the thickness. Some tints have same 6mil thickness but their break strength is low. And don't forget there are many tint applicators who buy the tints separately and provide you with shop warranty. Always insist on full manufacturer warranties e.g warranty card must be from the official manufacturer not the shop it self. You need to compare: 1) Brand 2) Price 3) IRR 4) VLT 5) TSER 6) Break strength (for security tints) 7) Warranty terms (manufacturer or shop warranty) 8) Warranty duration |

Lunar Silver is nice but after 2-3 times looking at the actual car on the road, it looks like normal silver, just only it is slightly darker (personal preference). Going by that same logic, it would be 'worse' for the Orchid White Pearl rite? U look at the white a million times and its still white. At least the lunar silver is a darker shade so unlike any other silver on the road. But this Civic surely looks better with lighter colors. White and Silver being the best. Darker colors don't enhance the overall design and features well enough in my opinion. But I still wouldn't rate any of the current colors as 'perfect' for the Civic. Each color has something a bit 'off' about it I think. But I suspect by Dec this year, the Civic is going to be a common sight on the roads. So it wont really matter which color u choose. |
