Or we could say, Vento is definitely a bad decision if you compare it with CivicX.

So now, are you going to change your mind?

tested the 1.5 yesterday.. definitely worth it. Asked the SA about the overheat prob n maintenance stuff.. he said Turbo need extra attention.. n normally its just the engine oil that causes all this.. saw some ppl already collected their 1.5TCP..  drool.gif  rclxms.gif

but just found out that civic no 60:40?
*
Yup. No 60:40 which is kinda wasted.

btw guys, is there anything in the manual that speaks about how to look after the Turbo engine when turning off? I'm referring to the 'revving before turning off engine' or on other words, clearing the spool of unburnt fuel. Some modern cars just tell you to leave the engine running for a while...
*
Correct me if im wrong, but i believe a turbo spool does not have liquid, its merely compressing air right? Fuel doesn't touch any turbo components right?

At most its cooling oil / liquid that needs to be pumped AROUND the turbo siput.

Yeah pigin taught me how to. But can't help but to still feel it's lacking. Somehow I feel the audio quality is even worse specifically on Android Auto as compared to Bluetooth.

Whats the observation from those with Apple phones? Any degration of audio quality?
*
You mean there's a difference in audio quality between AA vs HU's own bluetooth when streaming audio?

Yeah, personally I feel theres a degration in quality.

In Bluetooth you can actually make adjustments via the HU. But can't do so in AA. I'm still thinkering around to see how I can tweak it better.

Streaming through AA sounds a bit like... A cheap portable Bluetooth speaker - speakerphone sounding.

That's quite disappointing for something coming from Google. Hope future iterations will improve on that. It's quite a nice feature to use if implemented correctly.

Rear speaker behind passenger head just remind me of proton wira rear speaker location.. Why can't they put it on the inside of rear door.

Anyway the door is damn heavy!!! when u want to close it
*
Personally, I'd take a heavier door over a sheet metal door any time. Makes me feel 'safer'.

Yeah I think the actual proper way to use it is to first press the lock button on the remote, even if your car is already locked. Then only press the remote start.

It's always the case with other makes; lock first then remote start.
*
Yup, its a redundancy system whereby the system confirms its locked so that when engine is started, no one can steal the car.

Saw this clip showing how to access back of the HU and install bypass cable for the parking brake. Even he use the pry to open, can see minor dent on that portion at passenger side, wala heartache man if like this.

My current car no Bluetooth reception, using xiaomi wireless speakers as Spotify player for a year now, while waiting my CivicX to come. Lol. I drive alone, ost of the time, so it's still an ok compromise.

Not sure if you are referring to the Civic or the Wira being a Milo tin?

Either way, ppl need to depart from that old mentality of seeing a smashed up car and assuming its a milo tin. That's the crumple zones and its specially designed to crumple and absorb the energy from the impact by controlled deformation. If this energy is not absorbed or dissipated, it will be directly transferred to the passenger cabin. This is basic Laws of Physics.

Newton’s first law states that an object in motion will stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. As a result, if a vehicle is travelling at 110kmph, the passenger bodies inside are as well, and if the vehicle hits a solid wall and comes to a stop immediately without any crumple zones, the bodies will continue going in the same direction at 110kmph.

Passengers will continue to move forward at the same speed until they come in contact with a part of the automobile or another human being, causing severe injury. Even after a human body comes to a stop in an accident, its internal organs continue to move, slamming against each other because of the impact, often causing serious internal injuries and bleeding.

That's why crumple zones are very important. But crumple zones need to be paired with a strong passenger compartment to prevent intrusion or structural collapse.

If you walk around the Civic and do the 'knocking assessment' you will find a lot of hollow sounds. Being hollow is ok because it means that there is internal space for the crumple zone to collapse and its energy absorbed. In most continental cars like BMW, Audi, Merc and VW, you will find less 'hollow knocking sounds'. This is because these manufacturers generally include a lot of energy absorbing materials within the crumple zones. Try closing the boot of the BMW 5 Series for example and ull understand what I mean. But if the Civic were to follow the same route and include all these energy absorbing materials within the crumple zones, im certain we will be paying about 100K more.

Most importantly, Honda has done a very good job with its chassis and strengthening the passenger compartment. That's why the Civic gets the highest crash rating of Top Safety Pick Plus by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety America (IIHS).

It also obtained a 5 Star overall crash rating by the NHTSA with individual 5 star ratings for frontal crash, side crash and rollover. Just for info, the 2015 BMW 3 Series also obtained an overall 5 Star rating but only got a 4 star rating for frontal crash.

Well said. Can I quote you?

Those who are familiar with he route to sg buloh should know; how the route is always is during after working hours.

As usual I was on my way back and stuck in the same daily jam from the KTM area under the flyover toward kuala selangor direction (every weekdays it will jam till 7 plus)

As i was on a stop and go situation behind the Myvi; all sudden without any alert (no braking is heard; no honk is heard... nothing...) and BAM... the car arse has lift off and my car for force push forward. I immediately grab hold tightly of the steering wheel and press on the brake screaming the F word as I hit the front Myvi.....

Next think I know.. I came out of my car; saw the lady in front which was pregnant... I'm telling her.. you're lucky.. nothing happens to you...
I cannot say to the guy behind me as I was walking towards the back and I saw the intense damage my car was in and his Wira which was 1 car away from me.

Slowly the driver came out of the car and apologizing saying he was avoiding a motorcyclist which causes him to redirect his car from turning left out to the middle lane and right into my car which was stationary on the fast lane.

Imagine that.... it might be true but for this person who is driving home the same road everyday would know this direction will jam and from the impact.. he was TOTALLY speeding like HELL....

the rest... well my picture had show:-
1. The impact really hit the dedicated crumple zone
2. So far main body chassis still intact; but I cannot say the same to the rear side chassis and front fender chassis
3. My car totally save the pregnant lady - Imagine what happen to my Civic happen to her...

Lastly; yes... I'm frustrated for a 7 days old car.... to be ended up like this....... sad.gif

Now... let see what can Honda Body & Paint can do for me... as I read it here
http://www.repairerdrivennews.com/2015/11/...for-steel-cars/

the damage parts are non-repairable and only to be replace.

Insurance fully claimed for the damage?
