does anybody still dwell into the black friday sales on amazon since friday... or no one here has any interest in physical copy anymore?

i think the price of blu-ray and 4k titles not as alluring as they used to be years ago. but i bought some, because some titles i held back from purchasing during streetdate releases, so they're quite a good bargain.

i ordered mostly the titles that i wanted with significantly reduced price (all blu-ray) like Avengers Endgame, Spider-Man Far From Home, John Wick Chapter 3 & Shazam! (all USD7.99), Bumblebee & Goosebumps 2 (USD5.99), Justice League (USD3.99) and a few other catalogue titles just to reduce shipping fee

the one that i sorely missed was Mission: Impossible 6-Movie Collection when price dropped to USD12.99 but only for a short while!!

yup, all normal blu-ray. i would've bought the 4K ones if price is lower or almost similar

ya lor, it goes on sale like "lightning deal" quick... i managed to put into my cart but when i was about to check out, it says out of stock... so it went straight into 'wait for later' and then few hours later back to USD19.90 (but still a good deal for 6 flix!) btw, currently still got stock with USD19.96 price i even have a few titles from previous years' BF purchase that i still have not opened yet obviously now the prices are very much lower than when i bought them, oh well....

some even I watched in Netflix but not on the BD I bought

i just have this disease of impulse purchase, especially during black friday... cannot tahan the cheap price reduction yup... actually it's for keeping (for collection)! some movies just nice for holding and looking at the covers etc; and not just watching the movies in them... if to just watch, then can go to netflix or other 'sources'

btw, do you consider selling the unopenend collections after a few years...? sometimes i do feel that – wanted to sell those titles and then repurchase later on those with a bundle-up or in boxsets which are value for money and bang for the buck while save on shipping per item fee!

...and to add, can save space on my small and cramped blu-ray shelf! imagine 1 movie and its 7 sequels can saved the space to just one thick bluray case

I do not have that many unopened titles. should be less than 20.
don't think I will sell it since it will make a lot effort to sell that tiny unopened collection.

oh ok, that make sense... i will probably sell only some and repurchase new version; which have been re-released or remastered from the ones i have now...

it's true when you have a big shelf... i bet you do, and that's good for you. i have my fast & furious octalogy with individual casing lined-up and filled almost half of my shelf!

Actually now I am more enjoying watching those cover at TV or PC monitor, can select whatever version I want and make it nice.

I already nearly 90% completed re-encoded to digital media for all my blu-ray collection. Haha!

My shelf is full, so not buying any already. Haha!

Maybe wait for next - blu-ray 8K

I always skip a version. Haha!

I buy Video Tape, don't buy Laser Disc.
I buy VCD, not buying much DVD.
I buy Blu-ray, not buying much UHD Blu-ray. Haha!

wah, did you redesign the covers to your liking? i do agree some blu-ray/4K cover design decisions by the studios really suck!

wah, you must be a big taiko and have all the free time in the world to convert those into digital media... good for you! i'm pretty sure you have a very big collection there! i dont even have time to watch almost half of my collection yet, let alone re-encode/convert them into soft copies

hmmm i'm not sure if there will ever be a 8K super duper ultra HD format.... knowing that physical media is dying by the day!
