My latest 4K+HDR UHD blurays haul from Amazon. Picked these 5 after thorough reading of their video and audio reviews on Blu-ray.com. Main objective is actually to test my new soundbar's function of playing Dolby Atmos sound. Can't wait to watch them all, especially the sequel of the award-winning documentary Planet Earth.

Samsung UBD-K8500 is the only one that's officially launched here, i believe

If money is not an objection, the Oppo UDP-203 is a no-brainer

How much these UHD cost you?

Also any tips to get from amazon UK or US cheap? What the different purchase from UK or US Amazon?

Also for Samsung UBD-K8500 any users here? So far most disc readable? Also i just bought Batman Vs Superman Ultra HD from Amazon US. It stated Region 1 mean most UHD Player Malaysia will support right?

Thanks

All Ultra HD Blu-ray discs are region free. So any discs bought from any where in the world can be used here.

Use http://www.blu-ray.com to compare prices and buy whichever is cheaper after converting to RM.

I have not had any problems with my UBD-K8500. I only have 8 UHD titles, and there hasn't been any compatibility issues so far.

Yes! Use bluray.com price tracker to keep track of titles you want on Amazon easily. Set a price target and be notified once target reach. AMZ US is region A (Malaysia also region A) & AMZ UK is region B but most newer titles and some studios r region free. All 4K titles r region free too! biggrin.gif

Yes, as mentioned by the other bros, bluray.com would be a good site to keep track of the prices. But I also check Amazon.co.uk quite regularly as they sometimes do have some special deals for UHDs. For example, just this month I ordered 4 more UHDs from them as they were having the '2 for 30 pounds' promo. With this promo price, it is cheaper than Amazon US.

I'm using UBD-KS8500 too, so far I'm loving it. I think most of us are having it as there are not many UHD players yet out there. Later this year all the 2017 models will be out though

Only the 4K discs are region free.

The 1080p BDs may or may not be region free. But who cares abt the 1080p discs if you already have the 4K version?
