According to your logic, Samsung must be Chinese brand because their J Series (2016) support Yes 4G  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

He didn't say all non-Chinese brands did not support Yes 4G.

Your logic is faulty.

Hi, for the Yes prepaid add-on below, does the 30-day validity extend the line validity from the date of purchase? Thanks.

Any Yes 4g prepaid user can help ? If some foreigner allow a local to open and register an account for him, and the local person has subsequently moved away and not reacheable how to help the foreigner access his ID , password, yes email etc. to reactivate his account. Need to go to Yes center ?
*
Is the Welcome to Yes 4G message still on that very phone? If it's still on the initial password, should be able to still log in to the Yes account.

Well I've just signed up to Yes prepaid with a view to replacing my TuneTalk data line and I'm quite impressed. The signal strength of the Band 38 LTE I get in my home area is about -90dBm which is stronger than what I get for my Digi (which is always weaker than -105dBm):

So for my area, Maxis > Yes > Digi > Celcom > U Mobile & Unifi Mobile.

I'm buying from Yes 4G. But I'm not subscribing to any of the Konfem plans. I only plan to use about 15GB a month.

OK, to answer my own query, no, buying an add-on will not extend the line validity. I have to spend at least RM30 for 30 days to keep it active. sad.gif

Why don't u use postpaid RM30 unlimited internet 30days
no line expired

Because I'm tethering, and I don't use that much for 30 days anyway.

Hi , Can anyone tell me after my top up credit expires, i.e in 23 August it expires, how many days before Yes 4G decide to terminate my line?
Tried to call the helpline, tried to find in their FAQ & T&C, no answers. I'm guessing 90 days / 3 months after my credit expire , so it means it will be terminated on 23 November, although weirdly a few days ago, they sent me SMS that my line will be terminated on 12 October but until today still alive. (Still can receive call, and even use Free Basic Data).

I'm guessing if 23 Aug + 90 days = 23 Nov it dies.

I am just using my Yes 4G as a secondary number, so its only for either receiving calls and once-in-a-while data.
*
Some older forum posts seem to suggest 50 days grace period for Yes 4G prepaid.

Is Yes 4G strong signal for Condo above 10 floors. I am looking for a stable internet solution around Bukit Jalil area.
Currently using Digi Prepaid mobile plan. Not really wanted to subscribe any home bandwidth due to i will move around after few months later.
I wondering is Prepaid and Postpaid are under High Speed internet performance?
I am only having one iphone no extra device.
*
Like for any other telco, the advice is to get a prepaid SIM and test it out at the location(s) you frequent.

So, i guess every Telco either Prepaid or Postpaid for mobile internet. The connection speed is the same speed, right?
*
There's no general difference in network performance between prepaid/postpaid plans but individual plans or add-ons may be capped as the telco sees fit (they will say so if capped).

Actually in real life experience (maybe mine is somewhat special) it does.
I bought my first RM 10 per week Internet plan after I bought the starter pack, and that somewhat extended the validity period, because it straight away top up and subscribes to the internet plan.
So I don't know why yours doesn't extend.
*
No topup was involved in my case.

My plan right now. Note the different end dates between the line validity and the add-on validity.

I see that's quite good 10GB with RM30 compared to Digi prepaid.

Actually you'll get 20GB for the RM30. They'll give you 10GB free once you bought the add-on.

It's supposed to be a temporary promotion but it's been more than a year now.
