I thought in the latest iOS version, it allows user to choose VoLTE on but it will only work on best effort only.
*

Where you get that info? Info that Yes 4G now supports VoLTE for iPhone.

Yes 4G credit will it be gone after the expiry date? Or it will be active again if top up later after expired at date?
*

Same like other prepaid telco, the credit will always be there and accumulate, just that you can't use it until you topup again to make the account active again.

hi, how to subscribe the unlimited 4mbps for 30 monthy ?
currently am on rm68 per month, for 25 gb data , no speed cap.
*
QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Feb 21 2020, 11:53 PM)
4mbps is a prepaid plan. What you are using now is broadband. I'm not sure if yes broadband can be converted to prepaid. Try to ask yes helpline. Mind you, 4mbps cannot be used for hotspot ya

On other yes related topic, any of you guys use yes altitude 2 phone? Did your phone comes with malware such as xhelper, securec, firewey and fireplo?
*

If can't convert over to prepaid, consider terminate the broadband service, then buy a new Yes prepaid SIM card to get on that unlimited 4Mbps RM30 monthly plan.

thanks for advice but i need most data for hotspot thetering

if cannot bypasd their detection then is useless for me
*

That's so bad..... :\
There are ways to bypass it, by using a modded 4G LTE Router, and it proven to be work by some people.

But if the telco (Yes 4G) detects that the user has an unusual or excessive data usage (example exceeds 100GB a month), they have the right to throttle the speed or even suspend the account. Same goes to U Mobile and Digi...

If u can afford, subscribe an unlimited data plan instead of subscribe a low monthly fee of unlimited data plan, then bypass hotspot throttle illegally. Maybe just because you want to save money (well, who doesn't?), but it's really, really unethical if you use to download/uploading files excessively. So be considerate to other users around your area.

Thanks for the reply..what is the price for perminute?..0.15 cents?..per block?..
*
QUOTE(tympg @ Mar 11 2020, 09:28 AM)
FAQ says RM0.09 a minute for Yes-to-others calls.  I'm not sure how up-to-date this information is.
*

It's still the same RM0.09/minute and RM0.09/SMS to any other network. A pretty much record breaking history indeed, since long time ago until now still remain the same.

And since it's 9 sen per minute, so it is 60 seconds per block.

Perhaps the user base is not as wide as other telcos, plus I guess its relationship with government has been strained since the 1bestari matter...
*

They've offered 40GB to students mah... Government already terminate the Frog VLE via 1bestatinet with YTL already, now somemore still emphasise their Frog VLE...

That offer doesn't seem so sincere to me... Looks that they're doing that for the sake to please the shareholders and some parties.

Come on YTL, support the Govt and say Yes to a rebate for all of us.  hmm.gif
*

Uh no... The relationship between YTL and the government has turned sour, and that become more obvious since the 1BestariNet thing, all because of the BN government in the past.
I mean, the agreement between them back then seems fishy la... So now when PH government found out and try to do something about it, YTL no happy already.

Don't rely so much on free data la...
If you want free data that bad, you can opt to switching to the any 4 telcos.

Tower near my school shut down around two months. Bila kes sejuk, turned backed on. The teacher there told me the yes contractor turned it off and on like everything is planned.
Don't know what they promised the government.
*

Lol. It's like, if someone nearby your school got people complain of no coverage to Yes, then maybe they power it back on.
If no people use, then power it off.

I think it's better that you go buy a Yes 4G SIM card and try using it for yourself...

Where ever there is school, there'll be YES LTE...

p/s : Can someone update whether their cell towers are still allowed inside the school compound...? TQ...
*

Existing Yes 4G cell towers are still in national school compounds, so it is presumed that their cell towers still work as usual.

I love Yes because it always 4G.... Not like other always give h+ or EDGE

Plot twist: You can use third party apps to force your phone to always connect to 4G network only.
All telcos except Maxis supports VoLTE.

I'm trying to port our of YES but can't send reply to the port out sms. Plus the period of time they allow for reply is only 1 hour wtf, and they send the message at like 6.30AM on a Saturday morning. *facepalm*
*

Some other telco also have the same similar practices like this, so don't be surprised. It's normal. biggrin.gif

Data plan expiry on 21/12

Is the data still can be use until 21/12 ?

No.
Unless you topup RM5 to extend your credit validity from 18/12 to 23/12, which is 5 days.

QUOTE(scamboy @ Dec 29 2020, 04:50 PM)
Use the KasiUp Postpaid plan in a modem and get ready for your account to be suspended.

"The service offerings under the Kasi Up Postpaid Plan is designed for smartphone use only. You may refer to www.yes.my/supported-devices for phone compatibility."

Also, if you want to use Yes 4G as a mobile service on the go, be warned that this Telco has the worst mobile coverage in Malaysia with zero coverage in about 99% of the malls/indoor building.

Even Speedtest and Opensignal don't consider Yes as a major Telco.
*

Instead, you could use it as a home wireless Internet, since you'll be accessing the service in an almost fixed location, so no need to worry about those "claim to be wide coverage but different story in reality" kind of nonsense.

You guys can like spend RM1 to try out the Yes SIM card at an almost fixed location (e.g. at home in a room or wherever you want to use it often), and surf the Internet as usual to see if the overall Internet connection satisfy your needs.
If satisfied, then continue use it, put in a 4G modem or make it into mobile hotspot or whatsoever and then use it like home Internet. This is useful especially those who can't subscribe to Unifi/Maxis Fibre or any fixed internet due to port full, no coverage, or whatsoever.

If not satisfied, throw the SIM card away, or give it to someone else that interested to try Yes SIM card. Simple.

Don't treat Yes network for "mobile/on the go" kind of usage, then at least you would feel a little happier on the inside. biggrin.gif

yes u can. kompaun RM50 only when one day your sim card speed become 64kbps. Get new RM1  sim card or paid RM50 your choice
*

Those plans that stated quotas on it (e.g. RM15 for 10GB, RM20 for 20GB, RM49 for 100GB....), I don't think they will care also, about where you wanna use it, either on phone or modem or whatsoever.
Cuz once you reach the quota, speed will be throttled for sure.

But if you're on the Unlimited 7Mbps RM30/month plan or any other unlimited Yes data plans out there, then I believe they will "spy" on your account especially when your data usage spikes to hundreds of GBs in such a short time. If they found out that you use it on a modded modem, then.... you know la what happens. biggrin.gif
