No mention of voice minutes for Yes Prepaid, so I'm guessing voice calls are PAYU for prepaid. Not important for me as this is not my primary line.

Anyone tried topping up Yes Prepaid through a convenience store/petrol station topup ticket? Is it possible? So far I've only done topup through online CC.

From the Yes prepaid FAQ
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I presume this means any Kasi Up add-on purchase WILL EXTEND LINE VALIDITY to the end of the add-on tenure (like Digi's "Always Active"), unlike the old add-ons which never extended line validity? |

I just topped up RM10 credit on my Yes line paying only RM6.70. 3% off + a voucher in Shopee. Cool. Lesson learnt: in future never top up directly through the MyYes app. wilson1stop liked this post

QUOTE(dannychen @ Jan 13 2021, 09:20 AM) Straight away, the 3 points (poor coverage, poor CS, poor network performance) don't really hold up for me. The coverage is good in my area and the performance is quite decent (70 Mbps, example). And I haven't found a reason to call CS, so that's moot.My SIM sits in a router at home so no worrying about encountering holes in the coverage. I'm using Yes like a home broadband, so my needs are different from a lot of other users here. This post has been edited by tympg: Jan 13 2021, 11:27 AM |

If you're a heavy data user who needs tethering, go for the RM49 package for 100GB, otherwise if that's not enough then be prepared to pay more.
Buying a modded modem to use with a cheap unlimited data phone plan is very risky financially. |

I've just been given the 10GB free data. I thought only new sign-ups get the 10GB (my Yes SIM has been around since 2019). Not complaining of course.

Confirmed for Yes Prepaid, you need the Line Credit to be valid to use data or make calls.
Even if your add-on has not expired but your line validity has ended, the line will be in Grace Period and you need to top up again to use the line. For me, it took many hours after topping up for the line to start working again. |

QUOTE(JonSpark @ Feb 4 2021, 10:21 AM) Check from MyYes4G app what is your expiry date. If today is past the expiry date, you need to reload (at least RM5) to re-establish line validity.![]() This post has been edited by tympg: Feb 4 2021, 12:20 PM |

QUOTE(PJyan @ Feb 8 2021, 10:27 PM) Hi, There are 2 kinds of validity:Need some advice from all the sifu out there. My Yes Kasi Up prepaid expired on 2 Feb. After this, cannot get any data, even just trying to send text msg on Whatsapp. And I cannot call in to this number anymore. Has my line been terminated? (email yescare, but no reply) If not terminated, can I still top up RM15 to get the 10GB and to receive call?
If (1) expires, the account goes into inactive mode. Cannot call/text/use data. If (2) expires, only your add-on ends. You can still call/text if you have credit. I'm guessing your line validity has expired. So, yes, you need to top up to restore line validity. |

QUOTE(alpha @ Feb 10 2021, 03:34 PM) just heard yes simcard prepaid can only be used in handphone, cant put in modem to use the data, even thought the modem is legitimate and not modded, is this true? You heard wrong. Only the unlimited add-on has modem restrictions. |
