Note : speed tests are done using Samsung Galaxy M14 and Poco M4 5G.
Well, as Yes is giving out 44GB data, I am going to test out things for Yes on a 4G SIM and 5G SIM.
Photo 1 : 5G on a 5G enabled SIM (in this case, Yes Power 35)

Photo 2 : 5G speed test on a 4G only SIM, after manually switching from Prefer 5G to prefer 4G and again prefer 5G (which is the old Yes Prihatin Learn for home, activated the 44GB free data)

Photo 3: 4G speed test (plan same as photo 2)

Photo 4 : 4G speed test, but on 700MHz 5G band (plan same as photo 2)

My conclusion is it is indeed possible for a Yes 4G only SIM to connect to 5G, but this depends on the plan. The plan offered for the 4G Prihatin SIM doesn't come with 5G access (except for Pakej Perpaduan that is capped at 3Mbps), but it might be possible to connect to 700MHz network (anchor band for 5G) in a 5G device. RM15 for unlimited 4G only data on mobile devices (even at slow 7Mbps speed) can be hard to resist for some.
