The problem that I often hear about the N16 is the rather poor fuel consumption... Other than that, it's a pretty decent car with a very good chassis...Nissan Sentra CLub, LYN Sentra User

QUOTE(rivers @ Jan 12 2009, 05:39 PM) Hi All, Which state r u located? If you're in Petaling Jaya, check out PH Auto in SEA Park, you can get very decent deals there...My B14 is in need of a new suspension. Anyone has any recommendation? Was told by my mech that ori Nissan ones cost well over RM 1300 which I think its quite pricey or is it that price range these days? Appreciate some feedback. Thanks |

Just upgraded my exhaust system's mid-section and muffler on Saturday... Upgraded from the original 1.6 inches piping to 2 inches now, and the muffler is a Tanabe racing muffler...
Will post pics of my new exhaust tomorrow... |

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Jan 19 2009, 05:30 PM) Hi guys im new here.... Hey, Wacky, didn't know u own a B14 as well...I owned a Sentra B14.. Btw, I wanted to add a wing but cant find suitable one with suitable price.. My budget is around RM200-RM300 include installation. Anyone got recommend? Im looking for those normal/conventional type, definitely not GT Wing style.. My car paint is Silver Metallic, but i think the wing can be different color wont look that bad. Like Vanquish car's color » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « As for your search for a suitable spoiler, have you tried shops like Brother's yet? |

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Jan 19 2009, 10:04 PM) Just owned it like 3-4 months lolz... Oh I see, cool...Havent really go search yet, just looking around the garage section.. Besides the spoiler, i would like to change the meter panel to EL panel too... And not much shop does that i think..The stock panel lights are dull I don't really recommend EL panel coz it can get pretty blinding at night time, which is quite hazardous when you're driving on a highway... I would recommend that you change the bulbs to LED ones, that is good enough oredi... Go check out Brother's first, see if there's any spoilers there that fits ur taste and budget... |

Yeah, Brother's have spoilers suitable for N16 as well...which brothers store did you went for your spoiler? how much? from your pics can see a bit of the spoiler. very nice indeed..hehhehe... Go to the one in Kelana Jaya, the main branch, they have the most variety there... QUOTE(towawayzone @ Jan 20 2009, 02:11 PM) hi vanquish, another Q. Since I oredi have a JASMA-certified performance extractor, I only changed everything from mid-section to the muffler...did you change the center bullet or the whole pipe from mid section to muffler?? QUOTE(NISMOgan @ Jan 22 2009, 09:07 AM) Vanquish : hehe yea Asymmetric cost a bomb (around rm7xx for 17" if not mistaken) and the smallest size was 17" hehee, change to 17" lah ur engine deserve this size also what. Yeah, Asymmetric is expensive... 17" dun wan la, the ride would be so harsh... 16" (with 50 series tyres) is oredi a killer for me... Some more, 17" will make my brakes look so darn small, which is not a pretty sight...ananth77 : PH Auto is just a spare parts shop which sell NISSAN genuine parts, u can buy ur parts there and bring ur car to reliable shop for service it will be much cheaper. If not mistaken its located at Uptown? No, PH Auto is located in SEA Park, PJ, at the roll of shops behind KFC... |

QUOTE(NISMOgan @ Jan 22 2009, 09:19 AM) Vanquish : hehe yea then u should upgrade ur brakes to 4 pot la, a NISSAN caliper is cool enuf I have pondered about changing to a set of Nissan 4-pots, but the mods required to fit those in are a hassle for me...Well, the engine is running smoother with the upgraded mid-section and Tanabe muffler, but I haven't properly tuned it up yet... |

QUOTE(NISMOgan @ Jan 22 2009, 10:07 AM) Vanquish : i see, never know it has lots of hassle, i tot was just drilling job on the disc due to 5 lugs then plug and play? Oh, you have no idea, man... Cannot drill, U'll have to change the knuckle that holds the disc brake, you need to find the right knuckle (something to do with offset) and then modify it to fit onto the B14 suspension... |

QUOTE(NISMOgan @ Jan 22 2009, 10:32 AM) oh ic, i need to check back with my club member as i can recall they just did it this way. Unless the rear which is drum, it really bring hassels. Btw many need to be spend if u convert your front to 4 pot? Say the brake set alone cost u rm500 I once saw a B14 in PJ fitted with the R32 4-pot at the front and R32 2-pot at the rear, it looks so darn cool...I'm not sure how much it costs to do all these conversions, but I can get the R32 4-pot set for less than RM500 (not inclusive of the rear 2-pot)... |

QUOTE(NISMOgan @ Jan 22 2009, 02:28 PM) Hey Vanquish, i have checked with my cousin about the front brake conversion. We both is right hehe. B14 you need to find knuckle, while N16 its plug n play. Many of his friend are using N16 knuckle on their B14s. Ah yes, that's right, need to change to N16 knuckle to install the R32 brakes... But I was told that even the N16 knuckles have variations, so need to find the right N16 knuckle... One of the happiest thing is finally i've been tested SR16VE myself. Last time only did passage. Syok man... envy of u hehee Ah, cool, U finally get a taste of the SR16VE, eh...
