If you dont mind doing sales, that should be easier to get
Banking/insurance sales are still highly in demand i believe

Singapore customers are very demanding one you know. You need to have thicker face and learn how to lick boots if you want to sell financial products. Many high net worth customers here.

Hi, how much is a good salary package to live comfortably in Singapore?
*
Put yourself in our shoe. HOW are we going to answer such a broad question?

You have to refine your question. For a start define 'comfortable' in your standard

Well, some online research would go a long way, but according to:-
LINK
It seems quite usual.

But then again, why they would prefer to hire a foreigner for that when they have locals for that?
Maybe the senpais on the forum can further elaborate or correct me if I'm wrong.
*
Same like Msian back home. Locals are choosy, they shun low paying jobs

Any IT/media company is hiring law grad (Malaysian but graduated from UK)?

PS: not intend to practise in SG.
*
You are too ambitious. Be prepared for low pay. Somemore want to come to expensive Singapore

Passion for game/IT will not sustain you long in job. My advise to you is earn as much when you are young. After 10 years of practise, you'll accumulate enough then you can do anything you want - open an IT company, develop own app game

I met many successful doctors, specialist, researchers who earn well in their career at the same time chase their passion during their free time - become DJ, motor racer, care for strays etc. Opt for this kind of life is better

Consult your parents, seniors and elders on your career choices

I am work pass holder. My application quite fast, just less than 1 week.
My salary is above 3k, so I prefer EP. But my HR said they have no quota.
But I thought only work permit and S-pass need quota?
*
No quota for EP. The HR that process your application could be Msian holding Work Pass as well. Not well verse with the ever changing MOM law

Anyway if already approved your Work Pass just accept it

Hi all, I need advice,
is it possible to change to other job within 3 months,( work permit holder and in probation period), Is there any penalties or tax will imposed to me?
Thanks
*
MOM won't stop you changing job. It's free market. Just 15% income tax to deduct from last pay

But the company that you resigned from may imposed penalties for resigning early.

My advise, just stay on in the company and slowly gain experience and network (more important).

Yup...something low like that. Better you remit your funds to ringgit and leave it in a Malaysian fd @ 4% per month.
*
Not a wise decision to remit to MYR unless you have use for it like settling your loan, buying house, etc. Exchange rate fluctuation will easily wipe out your 4% FD rate if you remit at wrong timing. I Kena last time.

Also Msia FD will not stay 4% all the time.

Singapore economy is stronger compared to Msia. If you don't intend to invest and just by staying put your fund in SG without touching it is a better choice

"Please note that foreign employees who are issued with work passes of at least 1 year validity are treated as tax residents upfront"

Someone ever clarify that at Singapore Expat Forum. Copied from there

Caucasians will be on their own. Or hire maid

Singapore is one of the countries in the world where you can 'buy' your way to citizenship.

With USD2.5 mil, you get immediate PR

nope. but TS has passed the min requirement for EP. why is he getting non-ep
*
You have to give those companies the benefit of doubt. Many new applicants have been reporting in this thread that their companies applied WP instead of EP even though their salary qualified for it. And it's a trend now

Deal more with govenrment agencies here and you'll realise their rules and regulations keep changing. Not surprising

I was looking at 1 commercial property with 6% guaranteed rental return for first 3 years, profit sharing thereafter.

If you are interested, can pm and discuss

Survey properly. A GRR property most of time is developer marketing gimmick. If can sell well they won't resort to such tactic. IOI's property?
