It's a ceasefire only, but I think it's good enough to cause market to go up... Chinese stocks especially.

This is how I see how it may play out.. Market up from Nxt week.

Then end of July, Fed cut rates, market push up some more.

Then towards end of year, China and US finalize agreement. Market go stratosphere.

Trump will get re-elected in 2020.

Later 2020 the greatest crash in history..

I don't trade US markets but I'm also keeping close watch on it nowadays. 200 SMA yes, but more critical is the June starting level. Breach that n u might get to Dec 18 levels or worse very fast.

It's not the first round. More like round 4 or 5. First tariff imposed in 2018. Only now getting worse and worse.

This round also not new, this was announced early last month by Trump n then China announced retaliation and weakened Renmimbi.

Next round tariff is on 1 Oct. This one China hasn't announced retaliation yet. This one to me is very critical.

This is serious stuff if come true. Hopefully just nego tactic to put in max pressure to China. Things are going out of control.

If happen, it goes beyond trade war n step in escalation nto capital flows. After that will be embargo and finally shooting war.

Wow.. Steep drop in US.

Hopefully more drop so Trump gets more scared n come to a trade deal next week.

If looking at China..FXI gives very focused exposure to only large cap China stocks listed in HKEX. The likes of Tencent, China Mobile and the large banks.

GXC is better diversified bet on China as it includes the HK and US listed Chinese stocks like Baba, JD as well with more than 700 stocks.

ASHR is another alternative China play as it invest in Shanghai and Shenzen stocks. It tend to move differently than FXI and GXC as there is still very limited foreign investors in Shanghai and Shenzen. So it's much more retail play with "national team" influence.

But if there is some sort of deal end of next week, then I say consider CHAU which is ASHR 2x.

To be honest, HKEX has more China etf offerings than US market with the exception of the leveraged and short ETFs.

Trump tweeted he is meeting the China VP on Friday. That's got to be good news right?..

U might want to check out futures or CFD trading. I don't know if there is any licensed CFD platforms in Malaysia. Usually it's in Singapore like Saxobank.

But some Malaysian licensed futures houses do offer S&P500 futures trading. Like Kenanga here.

This year.. Defence stocks like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and maybe even Boeing.

On big picture, US market is at crazy record high. Spare some cash for corrections to come.
