May I know 10% of gross proceed meaning what ya?
If the total cost is 5,000 USD, when I sell at 10,000 USD in 2023, meaning the 10% tax which I need to pay is 1,000 USD? or is based on the profit i get ie. 500 USD in this case?

I was told even if you exit at a loss, you will be taxed too.

Not sure whether to sell and allocate more into cash or not. Just to trade abit before year end and try to juice up next year return if there is a recession earning dip to buy back what i sold at cheaper.

Probably from now till march won’t have much upside imo, but then most of my holdings i dont consider to be over valued, most is fair value or slightly under at the moment. Do nothing seemed like the default to go.

AAPL down again next week

I think AAPL may disappoint in upcoming Q4'22 earnings (will report in Jan 2023).
But, there's opportunity to add if they oversold it. Best if they can knock it all way down below $100 again...

Not just apple but other companies as well. I belive that we will see one more last leg down in 2023 before the market starts to price in. Worst case scenario is s&p drop to 3000, that's when I will aggressively DCA. Now I just stay and watch

Yes,... I am one of them,... my pair is AUDJPY, a few tranches held for many months and rode the up-swing. Then taken profit tranche by tramche,.. and I sold my last tranche a few weeks ago. But,.. still sold too early,...

Could have caught a few more pips, which are valuable to me because of my big amt,.. and very high leverage,...

Well, at least I think normally like most other people . It's easy to say "cut your losses, and hold onto your gains". But, we never know the future. A current loss may be a future gain, and an existing gain not realised may turn out to be a lfuture loss.

Anyway.. everyone knows VW is number 1 worldwide in terms of sales... Tesla not even in the top 10.

Now the ranked automaker in terms of PROFIT... (isn't this what everyone wants?)

and where is Tesla?


And if based on pe? (ie the lowest pe of all automakers), Tesla is NOT even in the top 20 cheapest...

Hehe... Just trying to stress the 'super generous' market valuation enjoyed by Tesla.

Some interesting points...

During the peak, by looking at the market cap, the market priced Tesla more than double the value of Exxon Mobil. Yup, Tesla was once worth twice the value of Exxon!!!!

Now, after the 'correction', finally Exxon is worth more than Tesla.

The value Tesla lost during the correction.. The amount 'lost' was more than 8 of the biggest automakers in the world.

Yeah, was Tesla grossly overvalued or goreng way too much during the peak??

And yeah... After this 'correction' .. We can see that among the automakers, Tesla doesn't generate the most revenue, Tesla doesn't even generate the largest profits, so why is Tesla STILL priced at much higher earnings multiples?

Or bluntly put, Tesla is still over valued despite falling 'so much'!!
But for me... I take the easier route.. 'Why bother with a stock whose owner has the trust issue'.

Mean reversion? Still momentum to the downside next couple of sessions is imminent in my humble opinion.
