Selling put does not have any fees except for trading commission. If you short the stock then yes there is a cost other than trading commission. I know that... but the question posed to me was how long did I hold my 3 Tesla shorts, and what were the borrowing charges. The shorting puts were a separate post and a reply to Ramjade who said he bought stocks in the downtrend, and I was implying an alternative to that was to short OTM puts, which may be even more profitable than buying stocks outright. Premiums shoot up for puts whenever there is a sharp drop in the indices. |

This is a very conservative number, you probably pay the lower end of the estimation. |
