Did a basis calculation

For the past 5 years, average 7.8% increase per annum

Past 12 months, the increase is around 9%

Worth it because discounted rate price

Not true as it is not RSU 🤦‍♀️ because the employee will buy through brokerage like Etrade it is from the open market and the 20% price discount is paid by the employer

This is because if the employee leave or resign even before 5 years they got the option to keep or sell open market

For ESPP you can usually sell within a few days after buying at a discounted price. On the other hand, RSU which are stock grants usually have an extended vesting period as they are usually granted as a loyalty incentive. You don't actually have to buy anything - company just gives you the RSU. Need to see the exact terms the company is granting the shares. Then there are also stock options, which at maturity you are given the opportunity to either dispose at prevailing market price minus the cost at which it was granted or have the option to buy by paying the difference in the premium.

Oh ok. Thanks.

My company offers me such thing like 5 years cannot sell or something Like that, but I really don't bother to read the tnc as I'm not interested.

Additional conditions

1. Must hold for 12 months before selling off. If resign or sell off before 12 months, will return the exact amount you put in
2. No voting right

Any other things I need to look into?

Then what your company offering is not actual shares but vested treasury shares held by the company itself 🤦‍♀️ which is have 5 year term because it is held under the company not under your name in the shareholding itself unlike ESPP

In your case it is a class type share but how will they enforce 12 months rule 🤦‍♀️ which means you are buying through them and actually not owning the shares itself like treasury shares case just like Google and Grab which have various class type shares

To me voting right no issue because how much power you can have through votes when your amount is so small 🤦‍♀️

so many news against Intel now if search "Intel, AMD, Ampere"

They facing stiff competition from Non US CPU chipmakers. Hard for Intel to cut costs having its HQ mostly in the US and western countries. Only way for them is to launch some outstanding new chipset that is way ahead of the competition. Else its stock will continue to plummet.
