To be fair I have no issue with YouTube on IPv6, it's just that China apps like Weibo and my usual streaming site for TVB series didn't seem to work well. Hence, I disabled it though I really wanted to let it activated all the time.

QUOTE(okquan888 @ Aug 28 2016, 05:01 PM) Too bad then it is the router issue though I still can't believe a D-Link DIR 615 is not capable of handling VIP 10. It shouldn't be TM's issue too because you do get full speed on LAN. See that you are on IPv6, try disabling it? I doubt this makes any difference for speed though. |

QUOTE(coconutzz @ Aug 29 2016, 10:11 AM) Wondering if TM will auto upgrade it's VIP20Mbps home users to faster speed? My friend did get mystery upgrade from TM many months ago. From VIP20 to Advance 50. Speed is around 40 plus Mbps download and 20Mbps upload. So, he is suspecting Advance 50 but plan name doesn't change in his OCC UniFi. the last time from VIP5 they upgraded to VIP10...hopefully they do something for VIP20 customers ler... |

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Aug 29 2016, 04:38 PM) Mine is during promo time.QUOTE(Prissy Elf @ Aug 29 2016, 04:55 PM) Wow! That's good deal! Rasa macam saya kena tipu. No way to unsubscribe HyppTV.They offered me discount RM10 but Ruby Pack is RM40 so total is still RM199 minus RM2 for autopay. Must find a way to axe Ruby Pack since I'm not using it at all. Installed Kodi and Shafa Market instead. These days Ruby is also RM 30, same like Aneka and Varnam. It used to be RM 40. |

QUOTE(wongsf @ Aug 30 2016, 06:32 AM) I don't think so but if you are already paying RM 199, maybe can try luck.QUOTE(duabijitelur @ Aug 30 2016, 08:54 AM) Actually nothing. Just happened without his request.QUOTE(denimblue @ Aug 30 2016, 09:01 AM) Please don't mislead others with your wrong information. I was just offered yesterday to upgrade my VIP5 to Advance30 for RM169, with 600 minutes free voice calls. TM told me that this promotion is valid for a 2-year period only, thereafter it will revert back to the normal RM199 per month. I told him I will wait for the free upgrade to VIP10. QUOTE(djhenry91 @ Aug 30 2016, 09:07 AM) dont mislead la.. TM release limited time promotion only charge RM179 for Unifi in 2 years thn next year onward charge RM199.. QUOTE(raynman @ Aug 30 2016, 09:36 AM) By record, Xefron provides accurate information and confirm/defy the rumours here. |

Anyway, I will not stay two years for 30Mbps. So, you will not see it from me though I'm already at my first year.

QUOTE(zftrans @ Aug 30 2016, 11:04 PM) I am on VIP 5 since 2012 and got the calls for promotional offers/upgrades and rejected every one of them. Not all will have. Only selected customers for now.I thought all the VIP5 users got the free upgrade to VIP 10 already? I know I have. QUOTE(Ralna @ Aug 31 2016, 01:04 AM) Just some sharing here. I'm a Unifi subscriber since 2012. Initially, my Internet Plan was VIP5, then TM offered me VIP10, and then VIP20, and now Unifi Advance 50. TM says I'm a good paymaster, and hence my Internet plans have always been a little cheaper than the rest (= reward for paying on time and never miss a payment for the past 4 years). A few months ago, I noticed that after the plan had been ugpraded to Unifi Advance 50, the Internet speed slowed down tremendously. Wasn't it supposed to be faster after the upgrade from VIP20 to Advance 50?! It was so slow until... I did a speed test, the download speed was around 5-6 mbps and upload speed was 2 mbps! Feeling extremely unhappy, I thought maybe I should switch to other ISPs, but the thing is, I like the TM's landline service and HyppTV. I then decided to seek alternative solution. Guess what, I found it! I just changed the old router to a powerful one. See attachments for the speed test results. In the past, the desktop PC in my room only showed 1-2 bars of Wifi signal, but now it's full bar after changing the router. ^^ The router I bought was ASUS RT-AC55UHP Dual-Band Wireless-AC1200 Gigabit Router (RM500+ from Lazada; 6-month installment). It's the premium version for home users like me & comes with a 3-year warranty. You can also look for other budget friendly routers by checking this blog out: http://www.blacktubi.com/unifi-router There's a comprehensive list of Unifi- & HyppTV-compatible routers. How to set up new Asus router: http://www.blacktubi.com/unifi/setup-asus-router-for-unifi/. Hope this helps if you're struggling with slow Internet speed. ^^ blacktubi, your fan spotted here. |

My friend has been an VIP10 user for many many years and paying RM 199 all these years. Recently TM has upgraded his package to VIP 20 for free, just like those from VIP 5 to VIP 10.
So far, he is my first friend who got VIP 10 to VIP 20. I think I saw people on this thread reported they got from VIP 10 to Advance 30? |
