Well, I have this issue since Day 1 I subscribed UniFi in 2011.

QUOTE(zftrans @ Aug 25 2016, 01:18 PM) but then again im not a heavy user and not many people using it simultaneously at home. There are models less than RM400 such as the RT-N12HP & RT-N14UHP which you can consider. Since you are not a heavy user, these models should be just nice - it's without dual band & Gigabit Ethernet anyway.not sure if its worth spending 400+ on an Asus If budget is really a constraint, try some of the TP-Link models. However, be forewarned that the TL-WDR4300 (dual band + Gigabit) is quite bad for wireless performance, but the cheaper TL-WR841ND (less than RM100 but without dual band & Gigabit) is quite good. |

TM will replace the modem for you. Lifetime warranty provided the damage is NOT caused by you.
But in case your modem is replaced, better log in to your OCC account billing section after a few days. Check if there is an unbilled amount of RM500 (the amount you see may be different if you have other unbilled items, but having an unbilled amount of RM500 or so is abnormal for most subscribers). It happened to me, somehow I am almost being billed for modem replacement, which is RM500 (excluding RM30 GST). If you see that, suggest you Tweet @TMConnects about this issue before it is charged to your bill. In my case, they resolved it within one to two weeks and the amount is waived in time before the next bill. QUOTE(Haunter99 @ Aug 25 2016, 04:41 PM) my question is can i ask for tm to change my router & modem to the new one? the silver one.... at least the modem? thanks... QUOTE(1tanmee @ Aug 25 2016, 11:28 PM) Sure? I thought one can opt to un-subscribe to the premium channels after a certain period (not sure if it is after 12months or 24 months). can others confirm on this? Nope, it is always tied up to your HyppTV Advanced & Pro packages, although it appears as separate item in your bill. The 1 year contract for HyppTV basically means if you terminate your UniFi service within the 1 year, you will need to pay the remaining subscription for your HyppTV (And of course RM500 for UniFi service termination) |

QUOTE(cheekian @ Aug 26 2016, 01:02 PM) Does somebody notice that Facebook is very slow for now, sometimes can load pictures but sometimes cannot... Had this issue once a while, but recently ok. Using IPv6.Sometimes when having issue on web, but on mobile app is ok. I wonder if it's really TM's problem, or just FB's server problem. |

QUOTE(christina1 @ Aug 27 2016, 09:39 AM) Let's put it this way. IPv6 is the next generation IP technology that will gradually replace the current IPv4.IPv4 addresses are running out, in particular in Asia Pacific, there are no more available IPv4 addresses to be allocated to ISPs, result is ISPs are resorting to use private addresses (hence double NAT) which although works, is not ideal. So is it important for UniFi users?? Yes & No. No, because at the moment, the existing IPv4 network still works. Yes - the transition to IPv6 has already begun and we should be gradually adopting it from now on as the day will come in the future when IPv6 will fully replace IPv4. So, why not start now, if you can?? |

Using Asus RT-N56U (latest firmware) with no problems with IPv6 at all.
Previously was using Asus RT-N12HP (latest firmware) also with no problems with IPv6! Perhaps, a survey can be done on to find out what are the router model & firmware version each person who is using/not using IPv6. This perhaps can be used to create a list of router brand/model/firmware that probably caused the issues with IPv6 and perhaps some recommendations of routers that properly support IPv6 can be made. QUOTE(raynman @ Aug 31 2016, 06:39 PM) There are factors that can affect how IPv6 is uniquely implemented for each individual user. 1. The brand/model of router used. 2. The firmware version of the router. Not all versions support IPv6 properly. 3. The IPv6 roll-out and preparedness of the ISP. There are users who experience problems with enabling IPv6 on their routers, and straight away infer that other users will be affected as well. This is totally wrong. That is the reason I conducted the recent IPv6 poll. Not surprisingly, the majority of users DO NOT have any problems at all with using IPv6. |

Perhaps be specific: you want UniFi Advance 30Mbps with Aneka/Ruby/Varnam (choose one)
QUOTE(CTU @ Sep 1 2016, 05:57 PM) Thanks. Just called. Let me just say my package again. I am on 10mbps paying RM199 before GST. The package that I am on includes HyppTV Mega Pack that costs RM50. Just now i wanted to upgrade to 30mbps, the person say can but my price would RM219 before GST. The reason was because I have MegaPack. I told her take away my MegaPack, just give me normal basic pack for HyppTv, she say dont have basic pack which I know is BS coz my in-laws have the basic pack. Anyone have any suggestions to help? QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 5 2016, 10:14 PM) I'm one of those who actually watch - on Ruby Pack.Actually I am wishing HyppTV can give Astro a run of their money so that the pricing for both can be kept low and HyppTV can include better channels in future. At the moment, those highly demanded channels are almost always only available on Astro due to their virtual monopoly. |

Anyone notice that once a while, UniFi will be down from several minutes to about an hour, usually happens around after midnight such as 12.30am onwards??
I had noticed this many times in my router log, there is no fixed interval how often this happens. Sometimes once or twice a month, sometimes you won't see this for several months. Last night I noticed that again and noticed that while Internet access & VoIP are both down, IPTV is still working. Wonder if it's a network fault, or just TM doing some maintenance .. |

QUOTE(DecaPix @ Sep 9 2016, 09:27 AM) same for me. last night around close to 1 am If it's really just TM doing some maintenance, it will be good if they come up with a system that notifies us of an impending downtime due to maintenance, at least an email notification or SMS.noticed it's intermittent. wondering is it my router going kaput |
