I like the gameplay. But the story is bullshit. GOW3 is the end of a good story. Kratos died. Join his dead daugther and wife. Thats it. How the fuck he have a son? Am I missing something here?

Well Kratos screwed a lot of ppl throughout the games. Pretty sure one of them gets pregnant.

That said, there needs to be something that triggers Kratos anger. His son dying because he's a wimp and Kratos keep pushing him to be strong but ultimately couldn't, sounds like a logical plot point.

Yeah the exp gain is for the son not kratos, I mean kratos is a spartan general why would he need to gain exp on bow and arrow

Agreed. Maybe his son saw Kratos died brutally infront of him and rage to kill norse god? And have sex with a lot of woman on the way and end up having a son too.

I'm glad it's no longer a fixed camera angle game, I don't like it as it's always disorientating when the camera angle change and it's ridiculous your character cannot see what he is facing due to camera pointing at another direction. They should have done this on PS3 already.

I think I remember reading in older EGMs, a reporter asked David Jaffe on how he would take the next GOW, he said he would take Kratos to kick ass in Norse Mythology. guess it finally happened.

have to say, have mixed feelings now knowing his son won't die early...was kind of hoping he'll die, setting Kratos off again, but then that'll be a cliched story

looking forward to grind controller with Valkyrie, Enchantress, Lady Sif..?

but the first impression to me is "omg, is this a tomb raider lookalike?"

After sitting through Again the whole gameplay trailer it has a bit of the following :

1. Resident evil 4-6 / Batman Arkham series over the should look.
2. Dark souls combat style (though the dodge is very Kratos like if it was in free flowing 3rd person).
3. Action RPG (insert title here) experience gaining
4. GOW QTE (at least something from GoW staple is here)

So much mash up of mechanics. Hope they release the game well.

greek god was the dominance empire of the world but has fallen.. so the norse rise wanna take over but then stumble upon kratos, after norse then the chinese/japs/egypt gods etc also fight over the dominance of world and the only person stand in their way is kratos... thats is wat i would like to see in future GOW

This game, along with many others, is the reason Playstation is leading the industry. This has the makings of a promising experience. Beautiful presentation, engaging story-telling, fun gameplay and an epic score to seal it off are the cornerstones of an unforgettable game, and this seems to deliver on all fronts. I'm not the biggest GoW fan, but man, this game looks interesting. Hyped!

Hi guys, this is kinda noob question.. i want to buy the limited edition of the GOW, but Sony Malaysia apparently will not bring it in..
so im gonna get it from UK.. i know that i definitely will be able to play the game with the disc, but will i get to claim the DLC's that comes with it though?

This is the one that im looking to get:

It's a different setting, different story. Some sidequests and a little bit of the main story will make some references to the previous games, but they serve more as "fan service" than actually being vital to the story.

Lightings from this game look surreal , can't wait to see the HDR on TV

A rather obvious downgrade in physics simulation on fur (keep an eye on Atreus fur vest), hair (Kratos beard, the giant's beard, white deer's fur) and leaves/trees.
The hair quality on the white deer near the end of the video also exhibits a lower poly count and simpler pass.

The volumetric lighting has also been altered. It's changed so that SSR (screen space reflection) can be more prevalent in the final version. DOF quality on the final version also receives higher sample passes than the E3 2016 trailer.

Most other differences are otherwise an art direction change rather than a downgrade for performance reasons.

Impulse is the best in the other hand GH is the worst (Sadly I Have GH membership) but their customer support is really bad.

229 is the standard price for the physical copy of GOW. Some of us would prefer the joy of actually holding it in your hands, in parallel to the sense of owning something in reality.

Playing it now , the HDR in this game is truly breathtaking , the environment and lightings are too visually dazzling , distracting me from the gameplay



The preorder and digital deluxe shield skins are sort of lame though , mostly just palette swapped version of the same model .
