I also having headache playing this game too, putting it into performance mode seems help a bit but I don't get this when play horizon zero dawn.

4k resolution mode dips more than phat PS4 in 1080 mode.
Performance mode is the only way to play it (IMO). You always get above 30fps. Generally it’s around 40-50 though.

Agree with both your assessments. Performance mode seems like the only real way of actually playing the game, and the 4K mode is more to show off still scenes to guests lol

Lower the motion blur to 6 or so. 10 is simply just headache inducing.
If you're going to play on performance mode, motion blur should be entirely disabled or be 3 at max.

Patch 1.14 also improved 4k30 mode a little bit, at least in areas with a lot of alpha effects going on.


Not to shoot on you or anything, but if you can - try and experience the game once on a full range dedicated audio system.

The experience is hard to put into words. I'm getting internal organ massages every night, a headset can't do that.

I never felt have motion sickness for this game. Usually motion sickness will happen only when the images which absorbed by your eyes are faster than your brain processing.

I started with Hard Mode from the beginning. you'll die a couple of like 30-40 times before getting use to the enemy AI, 3-4 hits even after upgrading your armor and Aterus armor and weapons will still get you dead if you simply hack and slash without thinking on strategy for stronger enemies that comes in wave.

I guess everyone has their difficulty level and can play at their own pace.

From normal to Hard the difficulty is a big contrast.

If you think hard is not hard enough, you can go hard plus immersive mode as well with all the HUD display turned off.

I don’t like dying frequently in hard mode but my Health bar doesn’t even go below 75% in easy mode.
So normal mode suits me the most.

i played normal. first time encounter one of the shielded enemy also dead.
he one hit kill me

Norse mythology is pretty cool, I just love it a lot more than the greek one last time. Definitely worth the 5 year development for the game dev.

45-55fps vs 30fps locked. That's a difference, but I wouldn't say it's drastic since the framerate is all over the place.

That said, cb4k vs 1080p on a 4k screen is very noticeable.

this game remind me of Marvel's Thor so much. I hope Marvel can get inspiration from this game and make a Thor game.

Nope, you can mix and match, I do that with mist and valkyrie
