1. Preferred Brand - Any; prefer something durable or at least with good after-sales support
2. Budget - RM1500
3. Usage - Excel + watching shows
4. Screen size - 15.6"
5. Additional Notes - Would normally get the cheapest one with the best processor and then upgrade RAM to 8GB and swap out HDD for an SSD.

Please recommend the cheapest laptop with a 15.6" screen and a decent processor. Below RM1500 would be great, so I'd have some extra $ to change the HDD to an SSD.

1. Preferred Brand - Any except acer; prefer something durable or at least with good after-sales support
2. Budget - RM1500-2000
3. Usage - Word/Browsing/Excel + watching shows
4. Screen size - Any
5. Additional Notes - Would normally get the cheapest one with the best processor and then upgrade RAM to 8GB and swap out HDD for an SSD.

Hi guys, can suggest a good laptop for budget between RM1500-2000?

Not for gaming, just mainly browsing/documents. Preferably has an SSD or just a larger space SSD?

Also any seller at lowyat that you believe is reliable?

I came across one previously, gave a lot of bullshit... the laptop he sold my friend was faulty, had some errors appearing just one day after purchase and he said it was not his fault. Later brought to another place to fix they found out its because didn't attach the hard disk properly and fixed it for a much cheaper price than he claimed it costs.

Best regards!

edit: forgot to include the format. also yea i totally c&p most of the words from previous poster above rclxm9.gif

not sure if is the right place to comment, I would recommend those planning to buy hp product, please do change your mind. I bought HP laptop and less than one year, the battery faulty. Their support service is really horrible and really will make you boil. They refused to believe their battery is damaged till I show them the proof of battery test result. Then, they claimed is not under warranty and claim my warranty expired till I have to start digging for invoice. Nearly one month, my battery issue is not settled yet and I submit lots of ticket and repeats tons of time my situation. From the bottom of my heart, I really regret buying the notebook with that kind of services. I even did try to reach them at facebook but once mention the issue, they deleted my comment. Not to mention the technician attitude as well.
Piece of advice, think carefully again before buying any of Hp product.. even with my invoice clearly state 2 years hardware warranty they refuse to acknowledge it.
