Surveying for a new laptop to replace my current HP Elitebook 6930p.

1. Preferred Brand - ANY
2. Budget - below RM5000
3. Usage - it's actually home use, but this time I want to highlight ability to smoothly render/edit full HD video, because my current laptop gives me extremely lagging performance and poor rendering result.

4. Preferred
a) 15 inch at least since I am focusing on video editing.
b) My current laptop weight about 2.2kg, which I feel quite heavy. I hope weight wise not exceed this again.
c) I never play game. But I do not mind getting a gaming laptop.

Thank you.

I survey and stumble upon this model:

Acer Aspire V Nitro NX.G6JSM.001

How come none of you propose this? is it having some bad review previously?

Looking for a Windows-based 2-in-1 mainly for work (mostly online Google apps, email, Microsoft Office), with some movies (VLC Player fan, I am!) and online browsing(youtube, general sites).

I have the HP X2 as a benchmark with a budget of only around RM1300. I like the look of the Lenovo Bracelet hinges, but not sure if its within my budget.

Any suggestions, guys?

for those usage you should go with intel HQ version not the U version to give you a good performance running those programs smoothly.
i dont think it's possible to have 256 ssd with that spec you preferred with that budget.

MSI CX62 6QD Intel i5-6300HQ, 4GB DDR4 RAM, Nvidia GT 940M 2GB, 128GB SSD, 15.6" FHD, 2.3KG RM2.9k

add another ram up to 8gb also can boost the performance.

according to asus official website, it's an IPS panel
72% NTSC? that's a color gamut
from my understanding (correct me if im wrong) color gamut is a range of color that can produce on screen, the higher the number of gamut, the clearer and accurate the color are
this technology really gives a benefit for people who professionally in photography, video editing etch etch that can give them an accurate color for their result
