Depends what part. Normally I use BrickLink.com as it has extensive parts and many sellers to choose from various countries.

I am curious, what's the difference between Lego Certified Store and other store. I realise the latter is much more cheaper.

One is officially endorsed by Lego; the other is grey importers.

Like cars....you have the official importers and grey importers.

The official stores higher overheads of course. Must maintain the brand image and so on.

No idea, I guess if you have strong contacts in ports.......

If you realise, shipping cost is never an issue. Sometimes can get good deals for shipping. Its always the grey area import tax...hmmmmmmmm

Hehe, from where I live, there is no Lego Store.. And I save quite a bit.. As long as it is genuine set.

Yes. There are several genuine LEgo sellers around and offer good prices. Sometimes even Lazada and Shoppee throw prices.

Just have to keep a lookout.

Any good Lego Seller in Shopee to recommend? I live in East Malaysia, receiving the box in good condition is always a concern.

So far I tried:
Lego Official - Received in good condition, but choices limited for Creator Expert and latest product
Bricksit Penang - Received in good condition, but choice very limited. Cheap though.
Brickstown Seremban - Received in ok condition (dented but not too serious).

Hi

MOC for 42118

I would like to add the followings to 42118 :
- steering
- motor
- remote control
- and later suspension system.

I hope members here can assist me on list of parts required.

Thanks.

It's not cheap to motorized. I suggest get a set like 9398 or 42099 to built it yourself. Then study the servo, drive, suspension, link-arm, bushes, axles, rods, etc.

There a quite a few modders and e.g. you can try search for Sariel.

If you expect to zoom around like RC cars, you are in for disappointment.

My old video motorizing Unimog 8110 (2nd favourite modded).

#1 Testing XL motor

#2 Testing servo/steering mechanism

List of parts, just search the breakdown list of 9398/42099 in BrickLink to find the remote, IR, motors, servo, etc. and you get the idea of individual unit costs.

Thanks.
I might go for 42124 because this model has all required parts such as motor and remote. Someone mentioned that 42118 can't add motor because the chasis is too short. So, I am going to do MOC.

I found a video by Grohl666 that shows how to MOC.

Hi all, I have an unused Harry Potter Hogwarts™ Great Hall 75954 set. Do you know where I can resell this? I have the receipt as well.

Box is not wrapped in plastic, but I have never opened it.

Just preordered my 76240 Tumbler. Can’t wait to assemble it.

The thread is pretty quiet.
